I am so glad that Olympia has such an established herb and health store. So many larger communities lack such a resource; Olympia is lucky. I can usually find what I’m looking for here, as long as it’s not too obscure. Their supplement section also has many thoughtful selections. I’m not really into the metaphysical stuff they have here, but it seems like a good selection. I’ve never had a massage here, so I cannot speak about this service. I would love to give Radiance 5 stars, but there are two issues. Number one: street parking is near impossible. I don’t live in town and have had to literally skip my visit more than once because it took over 15 minutes to find parking. I guess Radiance can’t do anything about this, but it’s frustrating at best. If driving, plan extra time for a visit; not the place to pop in and out of.Secondly, as many other reviews have mentioned, some staff members do not have good people skills, and tend to talk down to anyone who has a question they deem beneath them. There is definitely an air of elitist, “I know better than you, you poor misguided soul,” attitude. Some staff members are indeed outright hostile. Luckily, I know exactly what I need when I visit, so I can avoid speaking with the staff as much as possible. If I did have a question, I wouldn't feel comfortable asking anyone who works here. As a staple in the community, Radiance really needs to look at how they treat ALL of their customers. Maybe hire someone who might know a little less about herbs and a little more about how to smile and be warm with people. We want to encourage people to take their health into their own hands, learn about and use natural remedies. Attitudes like this will not further the cause.
