UPDATE: After the generic response from CHAS to contact the administrator. I tried to do just that. However, there was no name given and the main number to CHAS answers for ALL of the clinics. Not sure if I am to guess who to ask for but either way the issues are detailed in my review. In a day and age where people are not getting vaccines done I was shocked when we walked in, with the public school paper from the nurse stating we needed a vaccine for each of the kids. However, once in the door they told me I needed a referral from the nurse. Apparently even the nurse does not know this and I called before I came and was not told this on the phone. This is a new policy the lady told me at the front desk. She then tried to get them to do the shots .However, the person in the back refused and sent the kids out into the community without their vaccines. Disgraceful. I wonder how many people are "pretending" their kids need shots and making up false paperwork to come in with. The paper is signed by the school nurse on Immunization Outreach Program paperwork. I even have federal insurance they could bill but nope. Also, we were told after being turned away that we could fax the forms in but when they were faxed the school was called and told that they would not accept the fax but it had to be hand delivered. After this interaction we were told that we could go to SAFEWAY for our vaccines. Really? A federally funded clinic makes you jump through hoops but I can go to Safeway to get it done and then pick up a loaf a bread.
