Ectlc is a place to go to if you have problems. It's not a drug program. Is for those of us who like to change our life into a more positive 1. This is a Ministry you will learn how having Jesus in your mind and heart and soul everything can change for the better you'll come out a better more positive person the one-year program, the one-year program but that year I've learned more about Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. God sent me here. Its been one of the BEST BLESSINGS I have had in awhile. People come and go. Your blessings come with the choice(s)/decision(s) YOU make. The Pastors in charge always try to work with you. A prayer is said everyday for those that stay and those that leave the program. There are several chances given to those that decide to return to East County Transitional Living Center (ECTLC). You are blessed with God's words, housing, food, clothing, and special linens/bath tissue. There are rewards for positive behaviors.

For anyone struggling with shelter needs, visit this place. You will have the option of connecting with the on-site church if you'd like. If I were ever endangered with homelessness, this would be the first place I'd go to, asking for help. The intent at ECTLC is to put people back on the path to self-sufficient living beyond this facility.

My family tried to get in there. Not all the staff are friendly. They want $200 up front to just get your foot in the door, AND they want you to have EBT in which they make you give them to feed you. It ended up being about 90% of our EBT. The $200 you have to pay monthly. And they get offended if you do not want to attend their church meetings. When you tell them you do not want to attend the church...watch their attitude change. They will be even less friendly.

It was ok at first but after they knew i wasnt intetested in their family ministries program the tables turned...and if you are only there for emergency or transitional program...they offer no services and charge more rent than i receive each month so i dont understand how they are helping...they take you in knowing that they are just going to put you back on the street and it's sad...especially when you have kids....i wouldn't want to practice their religion if it means that is the way you treat people ..that is not very Christian of them running the place like they do...judging everyone that comes in there like they are any better...they are the fakest Christians i ever encountered....its a joke really and they should be investigated as far as i am concerned....if you need a place for a month or so its fine but any longer dont count on be stable unless you do everything they want you to which is bull...like you are being punished for being homeless...its disgusting

I agree with the majority, this place is another cult hiding behind the bible, I bet most of the leaders might quote a verse but they couldn't tell you where it is in the bible, because they also hide behind it and don't look in it, I remember being at the men's ranch,and a bible was on the kitchen outside tray Area and the pastor threw it in the trash can, now what pastor does that?? This is a place not to find honest people, you have staff members making 98% of all decision about everybody's individual problems or concern's, example:: my girl went to there five months ago to get off drugs, fine but her sister Diane or Mary works there, so right off the top Mary tells Tanya to stay in the program and leave me, she don't need me, now mind you, I quit doing drugs when TANYA had went there so I'm clean to this day also, my fiancé calls me quite a bit telling me while she's sobbing that she wants to come home and of course I'll go and get her, then before I leave to get her she calls back and says she had to stay because Diane would get mad, so my fiance's lil perks that Diane have gave her to stay, was overseer of the family side, now mind you Tanya never spent one day at the ranch like most females have to, plus Tanya told me that she gets first pick of all the donations brought in, she goes on to tell me she has twenty two pairs of shoes that were donated to the program, Now you all want to talk favoritism, I know that's my fiance, but that is a ridiculous manner to be on, I know my step son Brandon came out of thus program a bigger liar than before he went in, I know my step daughter who's always walked with God and who has never lied about anything, is lying now, and come to find out that all the time my fiancé was calling me to come home, her sister Diane would periodicly go to the main office and let her sister and a male friend in the he sanctuary (won't mention His name) he's just a male that's been there and sees an opportunity on a very beautiful lady that's confused by having me and her sister in her ear playing tug a war, and this male is a close friend to Diane, Diane tells them if anybidy says anything I let you in to use the computer, now Tanya is the type of person she wants to please others at all costs ,so Diane tells Tanya ( source of information from Tanya's mouth speaking to me via Facebook and telephone) to put thus man on her Facebook page and she did, then Diane tells her to write something on the post and you will have no choirs for a month and I'll make you overseer of the family side, Well Tanya knew as soon as I seen the post with this man picture it was over, so she said okay and wrote I Love This Man in the post to get me more jealous, because I tell you all I love Tanya very very much but her sister don't like me at all and put in Tanyas head that we are no good for each other, now listen we've been together ten years come this December, and my fiance loves her family also but she only went there to kick her a habit and her sister begged her and promised her the moon to stay and leave me, Tanya asked me to go to the program and me to be at the ranch for approximately 6 month's but Diane told her I can't go there. So to bring this to a close, I'm sorry it was a long review but it had to get out some one needs to be honest and let me the public know how this place is a cult hiding behind the bible,it only has maybe at best a 17% successful rate by associated press. So expect YOUR loved ones to come out being bigger liars, ones who hide behind the bible, and have lost all respect for the ones that actually love them , really lose the site of wrong and right like the BIBLE TEACHES US WRONG AND RIGHT LIVING IT DONT TEACH OR SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT WE SHOULD BE CULT LIVING AND LEARN IT FROM A CULT LIKE RAN PROGRAM:SO GOD BLESS ALL YOU TRUE BELIEVERS OF GOD AND MAY YOUR LIFES BE PROSPEROUS UNLIKE THESE CULT LIVING ANIMALS

I’ve been wondering if I should do a review on this place or not but I think it’s time for the truth. This program is set up to take homeless people off the streets. Being in that predicament you are basically desperate for any help you can get. Being from Chula Vista California growing up I never really went to east county for one reason! East county is full of racism. Anyways this was my second stay here at ectlc thankful for the roof over my head and the word of God and that’s pretty much it. Let’s talk about favoritism lord knows what goes on in this facility and theirs definitely favorites. I’ve gotten disrespected by many young women here but because I’m black and have an opinion and and very strong a passionate about the things I see and hear going on I usually would be the one to blame. The women’s director Diane wheeler or Mary which ever she goes by is a very interesting lady. She said she cared about me and loved me but for some reason there was something off certain days she would treat me alright but when I’d really need “counseling” from her she rush me and be off in a flash now I understand she is a busy lady but I’m not stupid and I’m very aware on how she treats other girls who just happen to be white or light skinned Mexicans. We were able to eat off of donations and have a structured day with bible studies. The Bible study teachers loved me because I truly was there to get help and they could see the lords love radiating through me. A lot of people have a cult like mentality in this place sadly not learning about God truly but trying to put on a front in order to fit in and not get singled out. The Black girls are not allowed to straighten their hair in the house do to the smell being much harsher than any other race that does their hair inside ( this was told to me and many other black girls from are overseers Kristina and Rosie). I believe God put me in this place to be a light for him which many people tried to constantly dim but you can’t not will not and never will dim the light of the Lord. I have met many beautiful people through this program and also many ugly wolves in sheeps clothing. If you are on the streets and have no where else to go, go here but keep to yourself and with God.

This is a protected facility with a "church member unofficial security guard", at the entrance. It is safe and sober, drug free facility. No outsiders permitted into the rooms, but can drop-off, and pick-up.Rooms consist of one living area per individual/family. Two beds. Meals served at church hall, on the same grounds. A Storage facility is next-door.

Its a great blessing to see imperfect people love and obey their master, Yashua (Jesus in Hebrew) to reach out to strangers who are going to hell. after reading the neg. reviews i am sure this would be an excellent place for safety and to find the God of all Mercies and to learn how to follow Him...Time is short. sell all you have and follow HIM Luke 18:22
