Feedback:

I’ve been wondering if I should do a review on this place or not but I think it’s time for the truth. This program is set up to take homeless people off the streets. Being in that predicament you are basically desperate for any help you can get. Being from Chula Vista California growing up I never really went to east county for one reason! East county is full of racism. Anyways this was my second stay here at ectlc thankful for the roof over my head and the word of God and that’s pretty much it. Let’s talk about favoritism lord knows what goes on in this facility and theirs definitely favorites. I’ve gotten disrespected by many young women here but because I’m black and have an opinion and and very strong a passionate about the things I see and hear going on I usually would be the one to blame. The women’s director Diane wheeler or Mary which ever she goes by is a very interesting lady. She said she cared about me and loved me but for some reason there was something off certain days she would treat me alright but when I’d really need “counseling” from her she rush me and be off in a flash now I understand she is a busy lady but I’m not stupid and I’m very aware on how she treats other girls who just happen to be white or light skinned Mexicans. We were able to eat off of donations and have a structured day with bible studies. The Bible study teachers loved me because I truly was there to get help and they could see the lords love radiating through me. A lot of people have a cult like mentality in this place sadly not learning about God truly but trying to put on a front in order to fit in and not get singled out. The Black girls are not allowed to straighten their hair in the house do to the smell being much harsher than any other race that does their hair inside ( this was told to me and many other black girls from are overseers Kristina and Rosie). I believe God put me in this place to be a light for him which many people tried to constantly dim but you can’t not will not and never will dim the light of the Lord. I have met many beautiful people through this program and also many ugly wolves in sheeps clothing. If you are on the streets and have no where else to go, go here but keep to yourself and with God.
