My recent experience with Funeral Alternatives upon the passing of my Mom was a positive one. Together, my mom and I, met with Clair Ferris initially and put in place a plan about two years prior to her need. Chase Leyba was the representative I worked with when Mom passed. I found him to be very personable and easy to work with. Whenever I spoke with Chase, he was both kind and eager to help in whatever way he could. He also volunteered to help us with the final interment of her urn. I'm very grateful for the opportunity of working with Chase and with all the staff I spoke with by phone or email. My experience is that they all were most considerate and compassionate to me as someone experiencing the loss of their loved one.

Funeral Alternatives was very kind and understanding about the loss of our son. They kept referring to him by his name rather than “ the deceased” which I found comforting. Our son is still a person even though he is gone. Prices are affordable and they did not pressure for us to buy additional services. There was a large selection of urns to choose from. The personnel offered us bereavement classes if we wanted to take advantage of them and were very respectful when we picked up our son’s ashes. We requested that they call us to tell us when our son would be cremated and were very accommodating and informative of the procedure while my husband was present during the cremation. I can’t thank Funeral Alternatives enough for their kindness and support during this hard time.

I would recommend Funeral Alternatives in Lacey to anyone who has lost a loved one. My father recently passed away and when we went and met with Mike he displayed genuine compassion while he went over everything we needed to take care of. Thanks to him, it was an easy process and truly reduced the stress of having to take care of the arrangements. He made all of the arrangements for my father's service to include Military honors, which is what my father always wanted. My family and I were so grateful he made that happen. They were just a phone call away if we had any questions or concerns, and just recently Elizabeth sent a text to my mother just to ask her how she was doing. That really meant a lot to her. Thank you so much for being there for our family.

My husband had medical issues that we knew gave him only a few years; however, he went suddenly and unexpectedly from a cardiac event instead. I was left to find a crematorium with no warning. I asked several nurse friends if they knee a good one and both recommended Funeral Alternatives highly. They were right. The staff at Funeral Alternatives were low key and compassionate. They asked questions to make sure the arrangements would meet our needs. Everything went smoothly and we were able to feel good about our choices. Funeral Alternatives has sent emails to help me deal with all the paperwork that needs to be completed after a death. It has helped to reassure me that I am not missing things I need to do. They sent recommendations for coping with grief as well. I am very glad my friends recommended them. They are compassionate, competent, and their prices are very reasonable.

I am from out of town and needed a local option for making funeral arrangements. Funeral Alternatives was recommended to me by several local people so I contacted them. Mike Furlong was knowledgeable, compassionate and went above and beyond in taking care of all that was needed. Their prices were reasonable, easy to understand, and they offered lots of options depending on the need. I would definitely recommend this company.

Michael Furlong from funeral alternatives of Washington was very helpful getting my wife back to her home state of North Carolina and ensuring I was on the same flight and always willing to answer questions even after my wife's funeral no matter the time of day. I would recommend anyone to go with this funeral home as they are truly compassionate about what they do and the people they serve. Thank you again for everything Michael.

When my brother passed on the 30 of may I was devastated They helped me get my affairs his affairs in order. They assisted me and my husband. I was lost the services were fast accurate and very professional yet family .They helped to know you count your feelings count .The services were wounderful they have so many packages to offer .They are caring, compassionate , the way they handled my brother was so loving .They will help you by setting you up with resources they walk through with you .They have a variety of many they offer depending on your families finaces they will help you though each loop .Thank you so much for being there for me .

Travis is Impersonal to the point of calloused and in a very tragic situation it feels rushed and pushy. Both on the phone and in email but it could be just another day at the job. I was given no options and even forms were filled out, not to my desires, but for the sake of timeliness. As far as timeliness goes, nearly a month later I have yet to receive any of my son's vital documents. When I inquired about this, Travis reached out to my brother instead of getting back to me. It's an odd practice.

He explained everything well and guided us through the entire process with great care and attention to our needs and feelings!
