I recently went to the clinic this past Saturday to get a form filled out by the doctor for my baby to be able to go back to daycare. Nancy the receptionist told me the doctor doesn't fill out the form a nurse does, to which I asked her if I can speak with a nurse. She said there is no nurse available at the moment working. I asked her if my baby can be seen as a walk in to which she said at the moment we aren't doing walk ins to which I told her I've always come as a walk in on Saturdays and never had issues to which she said we don't have availability at the moment. There was only like 3 patients in the lobby area. I asked to speak with a supervisor, her face expression changed immediately. She told me to wait as there was a patient ahead of me waiting to speak with her. I got to the clinic at 11:15am and was not seen by a supervisor until 12:30pm. I asked the other receptionist if the supervisor was available she replied she is currently on a phone call. I waited 20 minutes and asked again to which Nancy replied "she hasn't come out to speak with you?" I said no then she said ok let me call her, she called and said "Hi Karmen I have a patient who wants to speak with you" making me feel like the supervisor was never told that I was waiting. Karmen came out, I asked if we can talk in private we spoke in an office and what not told her my issue and she said I'm sorry for the inconvenience we do offer walk ins I'm not sure why she would decline it to you but I'll make sure your baby is seen. She proceeded to tell the other receptionist to put my baby in the list. We were waiting in the lobby for my baby to be called for vitals and nothing. I saw like maybe 5 or more new patients go in for vitals as soon as they got there and my baby was not called whatsoever. I asked front desk why my baby hasn't been called and this is what they said. 1st he is next, 2nd he should be next, 3rd oh wow he hasn't been called for vitals let me check. 4th the NURSE (there was a nurse available) said it showed in her system that he has been called for vitals and has been placed in room 3. We had never been called and all this time waiting in the lobby. I spoke to another patient who also had her child with her as a WALK IN had no issues nor rejections and was seen right away. I felt so discriminated at that moment. We were finally called for vitals. The lady who did the vitals was not that pleasant at first but then she changed her tone, the doctor that helped us was very nice and informative to any questions I had. I did not leave the clinic until 2:20pm. This has been the most terrible service ever and I have been with other clinics where they are super packed on Saturdays and still don't deny walk ins. Overall Nancy has terrible customer service. Karmen was really helpful. The doctor's note I received for my baby to go back to day care was not accepted so I called the clinic yesterday to see if they can give me some other type of note that gave more details of the visit. To which she said yes we can give you like a summary of the visit I told her that's fine if I can pick up today to which she said yes. I got out of work and got to the clinic around 5:30pm and was helped by a guy and asked for the letter to which he was really confused, so I described to him as what I was asking for to which he replied saying all the receptionist are gone by this hour so I don't think I can be of much help since I'm just "covering" for the time being. I asked for a nurse he said there was no one available 🤨 but kept on going to the back area and then came out with the paper I was asking for.Staff members need training on how to deal with people honestly. It's not hard be empathetic.
