Today I got a call that I needed to make an appointment because I was requesting a medication refill too early. I asked what a normal amount of time to request a refill was and I was told I would not be getting any more refills until I met with the doctor to discuss as I was not using the medication as it is intended. I was really caught off guard so I made the appointment. After thinking about it, I knew for a fact I had not been taking it more frequently than I should. I called my pharmacy and found out that the last time I had picked up the (12 count) medication was almost 2 months ago; not 2 weeks ago like they had said. I called the clinic back to let them know they were mistaken and hopefully avoid wasting the doctor's time and mine. I was talked to as if I were a drug addict. "I told you why the doctor needs to discuss this issue with you, the medication is habit forming". Very unsettling and offensive.
