Feedback:
My consistent experience with Green Care has been that they take my car apart and fail to put it back together properly. The first time I took it to them was for scheduled maintenance. They replaced the front control arms. After I got the car home, I took a look underneath and immediately saw that the sway bar had one bolt missing and another that was halfway out. This was about four inches from the control arm they had replaced. There was no way not to notice it. I took it back right away and, to their credit, they fixed it free of charge. About a year later, having decided to give them another chance, I took it to them to fix the air conditioner. They more or less replaced the entire system. When I drove it away, the car immediately started giving coolant system warnings. I took it back. The radiator fan had stopped working altogether and there was a large hose that had become disconnected from the radiator. Although both the fan and the hose are crowded within a few inches of radiator components that they had replaced, the owner insisted that they hadn't touched the cooling system. Despite having serious reservations by now, which I voiced to the owner in a very candid way, I allowed them to replace the broken radiator fan and reconnect the hose. They charged me for parts but not labor. About a month later the car started leaking transmission fluid from the front end. Because I was completely fed up with Green Care by now, and also thinking the leak was possibly unrelated to the recent work, I took the car to a different mechanic. The new mechanic said that the fan Green Care had installed was warped and was rubbing against a hose that carries transmission fluid to the radiator. I paid this mechanic around $1600 to replace the fan and hose. I certainly wasn't going to let Green Care anywhere near it again. After this repair was done, I went back to Green Care to complain, and to ask to be reimbursed for the the cost of fixing their mess. The owner asked why I hadn't brought the car back to them. I explained the history of botched repairs. He shrugged and told me that I had voided the repair contract by taking it to another mechanic. He offered to try to send the fan back under the manufacturer's warranty, but was otherwise unsympathetic and did not admit that there was anything wrong with their work. I gave Green Care many chances, and they botched it every time. I wouldn't let them wash my windshield.
