Very good, authentic Mexican food. I had the Carne Asada platter and it was excellent!! Very filling!!!We ordered chips and salsa and the salsa was just ok. Nothing special. I found out after we left they have different salsa options but you have to ask. That's a little disappointing as I would have liked a different salsa.

I walked 20 mins from Silver Lake area after doing a Google search of "Mexican near me" this was the 2nd place that popped up but closest. Not an extensive menu and pricy, 2 taco platter $12.99 with okay rice n choice of black or refried pinto beans. My sever was nice enough but I asked her if they had shredded beef which they didn't which I shoulda known right then and there it wasn't going to be to my liking with only a one sided food menu. Plenty of alcohol $18 shots of Tequila n Mescal. The server recommend the Asada which I was considering but also the carnitas and told me she thought is was the best marinated meat they had so I went with the 2 Asada tacos which was over cooked and not as much flavor as I was expecting from what she told me. I shoulda tried the Carnitas or one of each. The Spanish rice and refried pinto beans were okay but should asked if it was from a can. They also had a sign posted outside saying "happy hour everyday 4-7" but was told there wasn't a Happy hour on weekends. Plus someone brought their obnoxious Chiuaua and it was barking way too much and disrupting my and other diners' experience. I really wanted to tell the dog owner for 40 of the 50 mins while I was there, that I am a dog walker/sitter and that their dog just isn't trained enough to bring to a restaurant. You should be able to shush your dog once and it listens. As I left the dog barked at me and dogs don't bark at me. I don't recommend this place for all the great Mexican options that are way cheaper. Should've known when they don't stick to their posted signage and the menu was rinky dink. This is LA, I expect better. And I grew up in Texas and New Mexico and granted the Mexican food is just a little different in California, even in Arizona but there's so many better places than this. Shoulda went for the street meat taco stands.

El Condor is our favorite east side spot, hands down. We wandered in one day for brunch, partner got the enchiladas and now we go back whenever one of us gets a craving.Very solid food—the chips and salsa are sooooo good, and partner says the mushroom enchiladas (with red sauce) are the best thing on the menu. I’ve done the mushroom and chicken burrito bowls and several of the quesadilla options, as well as the mushroom tacos. The tacos are only ok but the burrito bowls are excellent (note: they go HEAVY on the sour cream so I’d request light sour cream if you aren’t a huge fan) and the quesadillas are excellent if you want something lighter. The service is always good, attentive without hovering. Oh and the drinks...get one of their margaritas from the bar. Heavy pours but still flavorful, my favorite kind of marg! The agua fresca and the limeade are both great non-alcoholic choices if you swing that way too.Ambience is perfect for a low key date night, partner and I come here regularly and it’s easy to chat without shouting at one another. The only thing that would make it more perfect is if it was at the beach! It’s that kind of cool, easy vibe.Wait wise, it’s, again, a breeze. The longest we’ve waited for a table is 15 minutes or so and if you’re inclined, you’re welcomed to wait at the bar. One word though: parking in this part of Silver Lake (all of Silver Lake, tbh) is a hassle so you may want to valet. We usually find a spot in the side streets but that can take 10-15 minutes, 20+ on a poppin Friday or Saturday night.

It's a very, very simple menu of the most basic 'Mexican' foods. But the ingredients are fresh and the portions are quite generous. And the margaritas are very tasty. Great chips, too - don't know if they make them, or what. The guac is homemade and is far better than you usually find in many restaurants. This is not meant to be an 'authentic' or comprehensive Mexican menu - it's just good food, good drinks and a (loud) cheerful atmosphere. If you want to have a better conversation, sit on the patio - the inside of the restaurant is pretty noisy.

Excellent tequila and mezcal selection. Everyone enjoyed their food. 7 layer dip was great.Lost a wallet while paying the check and they got ahold of us shortly after with the found wallet. Thank you Adam and team for taking care of us. We’ll be back many more times!

Worst $48 ever spent on Mexican food for 1 skinny marg, 1 Pacifico and mon special fajitas which were $18. Consisted of over cooked bland steak and I would say pre cut veggies from Sysco , rice bean guacamole and sour side. Everything was so blend the skillet wasn’t even sizzling. Mandatory 20 percent and tax added after. Salsa and beer for the win every time

Two stars because the food and atmosphere was fine, other than that my experience was pretty ridiculous. I was in a party of two and the total price ended up being $70; way more than I expected for ordering 2 drinks, an enchilada and one single taco. There’s a 20% gratuity fee added on to your order, which was very unexpected as I did not see that listed on the menu nor was it said verbally by our waiter. Also they advertise frozen margaritas yet when I tried to order one, the waitress said they didn’t have a blender. That was disappointing since the main reason I went to that place was bc I was craving a frozen margarita. And on top of all of this, the service was just slow and it wasn’t even busy, it was just a slow Sunday night.Anyways, this cute idea for a date night dinner ended up being very upsetting. I would have never gone here if I had known I was going to be charged $70, I should’ve just went somewhere else.

I wished I liked this place more as I had high hopes and it looked promising. However to begin with, service was quite slow. It wasn't a very busy night so we didn't feel it was justified. The Google maps page advertises frozen margaritas but this place doesn't do their margaritas frozen, they have no blender. The food was entirely over priced with a mandatory 20% gratuity on top. NOTE: 20% GRATUITY IS ALWAYS INCLUDED. However you feel about this gratuity being forced upon the patrons (I'm usually not a fan, just include it in the food costs), they didn't let you know beforehand nor was it on the menus. The food itself wasn't that bad and is the only thing keeping this from being a one star review (that and the atmosphere was pleasant), but it's gentrified Mexican. White people Mexican food for sure. I felt like this is the upscale bougie version of the actual food. If you go to a real traditional Mexican restaurant, you'll get twice the flavor and quality for half the price. Speaking of price. We spend $70 on four items. Those items were a single shrimp taco, an enchilada combo and two margaritas. That is astounding for a Mexican place like this. I've never felt like I've wasted my money on food like this before. Would have rather spent $10 at Tacos Delta across the street or got quality food at Bottega Louie. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here and I don't recommend you visit either. Try Mexican in Los Feliz for better results.

The food was excellent, if not a little on the spicy side in general. The chips we're crunchy and salty (just enough to get me thirsty), and don't get me started on the guacamole! So fluffy it felt like I was eating a green avo-cloud-o har har har... I had an Oaxacan old fashioned that was a bit on the smoky side but still a good twist on a vintage cocktail. For my entree, I had a carnitas burrito with red and green sauce that was large enough for me to take some home, and made a great breakfast the next day. Definitely five stars overall, I will be coming back!

Feedback:

It is an interesting little restaurant. Very hip. Dark and loud music. Parking is difficult, unless you use their valet. The food was good, out nachos were burned black the first time they were served to us. We asked for them to be redone and they did, no problem. Service was good. Bathrooms are upstairs, but there was a sign that an ada restroom was available upon request.
