I am a former student, anyone looking to further their massage education or gain experience as a first time student, please beware. To get you in the door, admin will over promise and under deliver. During the meeting with financial aid, I was told I would be paying close to $30,000 for my "education". I agreed to go ahead and see what I would be getting into and started the program, thinking highly of the staff and the material I would be learning.However, after you are signed up and committed to paying, the happy, friendly, financial aid front office staff no longer care enough to glance in your direction.To my disappointment, the class instructors were lazy, petty, and at times inappropriate. There was a male "instructor" named Travis, who made suggestive comments about his personal life and felt it necessary to describe his inappropriate Halloween costume during class time. Most of class time felt like personal time, and it didn't help me gain much knowledge at all.As a class, we sat around and played games barely related to the material we were paying to learn. I felt like a child in grade school. When signing up, I was promised 900 hours of education and halfway through the program an announcement was made that we would only be graduating with 800 hours of education, all while paying the same tuition. When I asked about this change, I was told, "at least you get to sleep in an extra hour" which I don't care about, I wanted the full 900 hours of education I was promised and was paying for.This earned two stars instead of one, because not all of the instructors were inappropriate. I truly feel like I could have taught myself and passed my state exam if I read the books on my own. I passed my exams and have my job title, but I could have saved $30k and studied on my own with the same result. Bummer.
