Feedback:
Such a disappointment! Just not what you would expect in Napa. Tonight they served a Ribeye, Polenta and peas for two. The ribeye was cut to resemble a “family” serving however was equivalent to what one person would have normally received. Quality of the steak; poor. The steak was very tough and full of tendons, most was inedible. The main course was a complete let-down. The cheese course was a great experience. The dessert was a delicious vanilla cheesecake and it became the hit of the evening. Overall: If you want an over priced - low quality meal, give it a try. You get a cookie when you leave.

The food was mostly good, the service was friendly if somewhat aggressive, but the pacing of the meal was off the wall! Despite it being a half full restaurant on a Thursday night, waiters were clearing our dishes the moment we finished, or in one or two cases, before we’d even put our cutlery down. Dinner and dessert were done in about 40 minutes, which is fine for a certain clientele but it’s not clear at all before you sit down that you’re not going to get a second to relax and chat. Additional comments: The music was too loud to allow any ease of conversation between members of the table, but the steak was delicious.Overall a very odd experience from Thomas Keller, not a downright unpleasant one but certainly a big disappointment at the price point it’s at.

Came here for a Saturday brunch with the reservation at 11am. The place was freezing!!! Thus one star off. I think the crew could've turned on the heater first to warm up the room before the guests arrival. The food was quite tasty and we got the famous fried chicken for the main course. But for me the star of the meal was the white chocolate pudding which was incredibly light with just the right amount of sweetness and milk infused flavor. What a delight.
Feedback:
Delicious place for a meal - especially a group meal while in the valley.Generous portions of salad and the most succulent pork chops ever! We could barely even fit in the final course. Delicious cocktails too, and a solid wine menu.
Feedback:
Always outstanding, Ad Hoc is fundamentally basic comfort comfort food from the French Laundry chef. Family style service, great meat- centered but balanced courses, and exceptional additions (today was crab & truffle pasta + local-ish caviar). Have spent last 2 NY Eve afternoons enjoying leisurly late lunch (identical to dinner menu) w/ family. We love it.
Feedback:
Extremely overpriced and overrated. Seems to be created for appearance in photos rather than taste. The chicken looked great but had little to no flavor and was a bit dry. The waffle could’ve been nice but it came out cold. If I was the chef I’d be embarrassed to serve this food & I've definitely crossed The French Laundry off my list of places to try after this experience. The lobster Mac n cheese was good, I’ll give them that to be fair.
Feedback:
Mediocre. Underwhelming. For $135 with tax for 2, and Thomas Keller backing, the food should be special, but it wasn't. Raddichio salad was fine but nothing great, dressing was average, it didn't have any unexpected, amazing ingredient to wow the palate. The steak was perfectly cooked, but a small portion and the mushroom sauce didn't pop at all, again no 'wow' moment. Their polenta was just a bland creamy mush. The cheese course was an unimpressive cheddar. I could get this meal at 20 other places I'm Napa, so why did we bother going to Keller's place? Because I trusted his name and thought these guys would do something special.
Feedback:
We've been here a few times and keep coming back. Tonight's dinner was fried chicken, which made my wife incredibly happy (she would have planned a trip to Napa just to get that, if she could have known what would be on the menu in advance). The staff was friendly and helpful, and everyone around seemed to be having a good time. The restaurant was noisy, which was at times annoying, but the food was great.
Feedback:
I have never written a review before, but I found this fitting. I arrived 20 minutes early and was looking at walking in and getting a table. We were standing in the front with one other couple, granted I’ve never been here before so didn’t know the bar was open seating and first come first serve. Literally the second we walk in this party of six walks in shoves us out of the way at the bar and goes oh we have six sorry. I ask one of the waitress’s if we can wait nearby and she says yes. About 5 minutes later the hostess says we can seat you if you want the full menu. My point being, services like this does not happen a lot. I haven’t even gotten to the main course and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you truly for being customer service Oriented. Made my day.
Feedback:
This place is more than fantastic! This is our second time there and we can’t get enough of it. Food is extremely fresh and perfectly cooked with amazing taste. The service is impeccable and friendly. The salad, oh my, that salad is out of what dreams are made of. It’s delicious, tasty (those grilled capers!!!) we’ll seasoned. They won me over at the salad already. The rest of the food was also delicious and fresh. They do a price fixe brunch that is well worth it.
