It pains me to give such a negative rating to a place with such a friendly and knowledgeable staff and a very nice, very discreet facility. My bigger issues are with I guess what you would refer to as administration problems. First of all, their stock is very heavy on their Ilera-grown products---which makes sense given it's their product, but that shouldn't substitute for stocking a wider variety of companies. However, my biggest problem is with the inconsistencies between their menu and their actual stock and prices. I had actually started going to Liberty up in Norriton, where they have much more reasonable price points and variety, but there was a line out the door today so I decided to give Ilera another shot. Out of almost 7 strains I had earmarked in their print menu, 4 weren't even on the live menu----and then there are the discrepancies between the live menu itself and the actual stock. But most infuriating are the disparities between the pricing on the live menu and the actual cost. There were probably about 5 strains that were listed as $15/gram, of which I had selected 2--I had only $50 and was planning on getting those 2 and another strain for $20/gram. However, when I was rung up, the tab came to $60. I asked why and directed her attention to the prices on the menu behind her, at which point she asked the supervisor, who came over, took a look, and concluded that every one of the strains that were priced at $15/gram were errors that he needed to fix. Look, I'm sorry, but that basically amounts to a bait-and-switch (or price gouging). I specifically decided to go there based on their advertising of less expensive options...only to find out that once I got to the register, there were, in fact, none. I've spent a good chunk of my life managing retail environments, and although they are wholly different industries, they both thrive on customers leaving satisfied and therefore, likely to continue giving you their business...at that point, the appropriate thing to do would have been to charge me the erroneous listed prices and fix those errors for future sales. Instead, I left there with just half of what my $50 should have bought and a firm decision that they have all-but-permanently lost my business.
