After giving birth to my son, we were scheduled our first Well Baby visit at this Kaiser Permanente. The N.P. who gave my son his Well Baby visit was extremely unprofessional, demeaning, and rude. Her name is Margo W. Coon. Being from Indonesia, it is normal for us to cosleep with our children. She straight out attacked me and said "Would you rather follow your culture and have a dead baby?" I was outraged by this statement because she could have worded her concerns about SIDS a different way. Next, she continued to treat me poorly by giving all the important paperworks and information to my husband, saying, "Dad, you seem to be the more scientific, research type, so let me give you all this information and papers to read". LAUGH OUT LOUD. If only she knew that I am the one who does all the research and paperwork in the home and have a background in scientific research. Our second visit, she apologized for her behavior, but continued to give all the important papers to my husband and repeated her statement "Dad, you are the scientific, research one here". By this time, I already had enough of her nonsense. I was thankful that his next baby visit was with a different doctor, Kent Keith Fung M.D. who was completely respectful, knowledgeable, and listened to our concerns instead of being demeaning. I do not recommend any first time parents to see Margo W. Coon as their baby's pediatrician, unless you are fine with her unprofessional demeanor and condescending attitude. I highly recommend choosing Dr. Kent Keith Fung as your baby's pediatrician, plus he understands what a lot of younger parents go through, having his own children (he is able to relate, empathize, and understand your concerns better). I would've given 5 stars, but my bad experience with Margo W. Coon in pediatrics ruined it.
