Feedback:
Although our server was great, I probably won't be back because the food just wasn't up to par.My fiance and I came here for Valentine's Day and ordered from the 3-course menu. It comes with a starter, entree, and dessert. For starters, he ordered the clam chowder and I ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail, both were good.As an entree I ordered the Parmesan-crusted Halibut since it received a lot of good reviews on Yelp with a side of zucchini and mashed potatoes. The Halibut was dry and flavorless to my dismay. I was really excited to try it. I tried to douse it in their garlic hot sauce and tartar sauce, but it didn't work in making the taste any better. My fiance ordered the lobster tail and steak (medium rare). The lobster was fantastic, it was tender and delicious. But the steak was also flavorless, dry, and rubbery. No bueno. For dessert we both had the bread pudding which comes with a scoop of vanilla icecream. One serving could've easily fed us both. We also ordered the yellowtail carpaccio as an appetizer. It was lacking more citrus/ponzu sauce and the first thing I noticed was that it came out warm, as if it had just been defrosted. The presentation was not impressive because the fish was cut into 4 thick slices, so eating one piece stuffed your entire mouth. There was definitely no knife skill behind this sashimi plate, no technique.I'm bummed because my fiance wanted to originally eat at Fogo De Chao in LA but I talked him out of it since I found King's which was closer to us. The food definitely looked appealing online, but I definitely won't be returning.
