This store has great employees, great selection, and if you only read earlier reviews, great deals. As of the new year those deals have completely changed and are no longer valid, having been replaced with what seems to be a method of moving less popular stock. Look elsewhere in 2020 for value and deals, what a disappointment.Response: thanks for the corporate non-response, its helped cement my decision to avoid your store. I don't care about your other growers. I only care about the very few strains you carry that actually provide me medical relief. Those might never be on sale now. It's funny you're so proud of your "loyalty program," literally every store has a 10 punch 20% off system now. Your customers hate the new deals, your employees hate the new deals, and from what I've heard you're unlikely to change. See ya.I'd highly recommend Kushman's in Lynnwood.

I myself don't partake, but when it opened in our neighborhood we had to see, so we visited the shop. Top notch. Everything was so clean and organized, and the staff didn't treat me weird when I told them that I don't actually need anything. I left feeling like if I decide to try it- well I now have the knowledge to help me choose from the hundreds of different types and whatnot. Thanks, Shawn.

If you are looking for a quality, clean, respected place to shop for cannabis products or CBD oil, check out this place. I like how convenient it is due to its proximity to downtown Edmonds. They also do a great job with product displays, and generate a overall feeling of a high-end retail experience. Before moving to WA, I had this predisposition of cannabis shops being non legitimate in the retail arena. However, local roots definitely changed my perspective and I’m so glad to have found this place.

This is the location/storefront that ALL MMJ/Recreational shops need to be modeled after:•Professional Staff: I didn't have my ID. I tried to get in with a picture of my license, front and back, that I keep saved on my phone... NO GO. They explained the situation, apologized, and treated me with respect. I still left happy! They even called the boss to see what they said.. The boss backed them up. •Clean. CLEAN. C L E A N.•Well lit parking, signage, displays, and store.•Knowledgeable staff.•Friendly staff.•Selection. SELECTION. S E L E C T I O N.•Competitive prices.•Well laid out store, logical setup. Great place; friendly and knowledgeable staff, good prices, great selection all in a fun space. They have $12-15 dabs, $45 ounces and frequent deals over the week. Two-Punch Tuesday as well. They also have a large selection of pieces from affordable to works of art. It's been my store for over a year, so if you're on your way to Edmonds beach, or coming back, definitely stop in!

Moving to area and decided to go find a replacement bud shop. I seen this store as I was just getting into town it looked good so i went in to check it out and was denied at the door. My valid Wyoming ID does not expire and this can be clearly seen on the card, but since there ID scanner was so confused by this my business was turned away. I've been using this same ID for the last ten years every place I go, and have never had a single issue until now. I easily spend hundreds of dollars a month at my regular shop, but today I will be taking my business to another location.

UPDATE 4/26***Was told today this employee was fired, but wouldn't say why...and the one who helped me, a tall manager, was quite pushy and didn't give me the time I needed or the information I had been getting. I'll be going back to Fweedom Cannabis where I get a medical discount of over 35% not 10% on $55 jars of ointment.****ORIGINAL, BUT OUT OF DATE REVIEW: "Generally great prices; entry was quick and polite. Despite the crowd on 4/20 a great employee refered me to a nice young bald man named Darius, who.knrew more than I expected was know. I'm. 75; and nervous, but he put me right at ease, and my knees finally feel well enough to sleep. The Flow gel is slightly slick, but was told they will have creams soon. Enjoyed working with my fellow workers and the assistant managers at Local Roots; however, for a company employing union busting tactics; especially when ignoring the safety of customers to accomplish it, I must give my service to another quality; and medically endorsed, location. I will miss the ability to service the community with my senior Industry experience & education, and I recommend Fweedom as a far better location; especially for medical authorization holders, or those seeking educated medical advice. Their 30% discount, and 40% concentrate Saturdays are far superior. I gave a star for Cascadia Gardens , Green Rush, DNA, and Landrace; which are all quality growers that Local Roots offers. Budtenders do a good recreational job and can't help who the management and Owner are; even when he lives above the shop. Beware of items "pushed" on customers; as that's what we're literally told to do, and not budtenders fault; and check expiration dates on concentrates/edibles, and harvest dates on flower. Yes; sales change often, and the budtenders are usually the last to know. When Green Rush sale stopped, we were only told that day. Shared tips, so please remember that doesn't go to management and samples are a joke industry wide. Budtenders; not only here, can't try more than a 3rd of the strains they sell, and most find out after the fact; or guess. At mostly below $15hr, even 48% employee discounts can make trying everything; as in medical, realistic. Price's set by maximizing profits; and seeing how much customers are "willing to pay." Also buyer haggling; but most recreational mark-ups are shocking state wide. Budtenders literally do not know when anything new or when a new shipment will actually be available; we only tried our best to guess. We're not even sure the GM or Buyers know 100%. Lastly; workers can't help the triple I.D. check's; if you're annoyed at it, the GM is usually there till 4pm ish, and let him know... budtenders find it as annoying as customers.

Hands down the best weed store I have been to yet. Best selection by far for flower, oil/concentrates, edibles, and topicals. Their glass selection is nothing short of amazing! Better than most glass stores, as those stores usually carry the cheap glass from China that breaks the first time you tap it out on your table. I have shopped in stores all over the state and this is the best so far by far. The employees have always been friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The prices are better than Seattle too. I really have a hard time shopping anywhere else, as I love variety/options and good prices. No shop has even come close to this one. The closest was Uncle Ike's in White Center but their selection and prices still weren't as good as here. If you are north of seattle, this is spot for you and even if you aren't, it's worth the drive.
