The saga is below, CKs dropped us with no warning, when we asked for a meeting to iron out differences... Now they have done harassing phone calls and finally a letter threatening a 92-year old woman... more

As an care giver for comfort keepers, i am blessed to work with this geoup of people. This company is amzing to work for. During the loss of my father, they were very patient and understanding. When ny car broke down on the eay to work, they were concerned about my saftey and well being even to the offer of driving an hour to retrieve me. I can not say enough about this company.

We signed up mom late last year to get in home care. That went well but had lasted only days when she took an unfortunate turn for the worse and mom went to assisted living. Only there for a few months she moved on to memory care. We purposely kept our Comfort Care account active because most of our family lives out of the area and we never knew when a helping hand might be needed. Last Saturday, while I was traveling, I got a frantic call from my mom. For the third weekend in a row her church was unable to send someone to pick her up from memory care for Sunday service. Via Comfort Keepers chat service I was quickly contacted by their on-call gal. She arranged for an employee to pick up mom that next day. A charming lady who mom took an instant shine to. This was such a little thing, yet it means the world to mom to go to church. Now I've arranged for weekly transport because we just need to know this small--yet big--issue is in reliable hands. The trajectory of mom’s life means their role in helping us care for mom will be largely now limited to transport services. Yet they continue to serve an important role for mom’s peace of mind as if we were the most important customer they have. That, for our family, is priceless.

Feedback:

Comfort Keepers have been magnificent in caring for my mother. They worked to find the right caregivers for my mother's personality and needs as they changed over time. Their staff are warm and friendly and were particularly good at communicating with 3 different daughters who were disorganized at times. They watched out for her quality of life, making sure her socialization needs as well as physical needs were well met. We used their meal delivery service as well and were very pleased with the size, quantity and quality of the meals. We couldn't have asked for more. They exceeded our expectations.

Feedback:

My 91 year old mother has enjoyed a number of years with her Comfort Keeper, who functioned like a friend/daughter. She was kind, extremely patient, funny, and involved. My mother wasn't keen on our initiating this service in the first place (an understatement), but quickly came to look forward to her visits. Not only did her Comfort Keeper provide a visitor and companion, she also provided valuable information and assessment when it came time to make the difficult decision to move my mother to assisted living. This may sound strange, but our family will miss OUR regular contact with her Comfort Keeper.I also want to note that we had the need to work with the Comfort Keepers various staff and representatives in regard to changes in scheduling and services, and also to seek advice. In all cases, everyone was flexible, and completely focused on finding solutions. At a time when caring for a beloved member of our family was new, and our family was unsure, Comfort Keepers was simply incredible in every aspect. It's not entirely clear to me who received the most "comfort" - my mother, or the rest of the family! Comfort Keepers in Traverse City has been invaluable to us, worth every penny, and then some.

It has been a joy working with the veterans who receive services with Comfort Keepers. The clients have made such a positive impact on my life! I haven't been happy with other employers for over 8 years but it has been such a blessing to work for Comfort Keepers! They have been flexible, supportive and they have followed through with what they promised upon hire. I actually enjoy going to work everyday!! EXECELLENT employer!!

Feedback:

Comfort Keepers has provided companionship for my 95 year old mother for the past three years. The caregivers have been professional, compassionate, and became close friends with mom. They strived to learn what mom's favorites were (Scrabble and doing Crossword Puzzles) and did them together most days. The Comfort Keeper staff and I kept in constant communication. I would highly recommend them.

Feedback:

On Sunday, a dedicated Comfort Keepers nurse, with her husband's help, drove through whiteout conditions, climbed through the car window, and trudged through high snow to see an elderly patient at home. Because of her nursing expertise and dedication to the job, the family is extremely grateful to have this R.N. on their mother's healthcare team.

Out-of-state Daughters Love CK!!We started out scheduling just a few hours a week to help get mom to the store and out for lunch on occasion. The caregiver was a godsend - fun, resourceful, truly caring. She communicated after each visit, sharing all kinds of relevant details that helped 2 of us who are out of town stay fully informed. Over time mom’s needs changed, and we struggled to balance our desire to support her wish to stay independent with concerns about her safety. We then learned what a great trouble-shooting resource Comfort Keepers is. Melanie educated us on a variety of tools and services we hadn’t known existed, ranging from meal delivery to fall-sensing monitors to the GrandPad service (a secure alternative to internet access, with easy-to-use phone, family photo-sharing, games, etc.). Comfort Keepers Traverse City has been a HUGE help - we have been so fortunate to have them as part of our team!

Feedback:

My father was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and we hired Comfort Keepers to help so he could stay with us at home for his last few months. The professionalism and care we received from Comfort Keepers was outstanding. In what was a very difficult time for my family, we knew we could count on Comfort Keepers to provide wonderful help each day. The staff (both the caregivers and office staff) went above and beyond what we expected. I would highly recommend Comfort Keepers to anyone looking for in home care for their loved one.

Feedback:

I'm a social worker within the community who has now called comfort keepers twice regarding patients that needed immediate care. Both times I've either been able to get someone out that day to do a prompt assessment or the very next day. No other caregiving company has been able to do what they did. Thank you for all your help and assistance! Everyone I've spoken with has been kind and helpful, it's beyond appreciated!
