MIND BOGGLING ART ! My wife and I were cruising the shops in this touristy Laguna Beach precinct. We happened upon this art gallery filled with wondrous art pieces by the gallery owner and resident artist Vladimir Kush. We chatted extensively with Richard the consultant on duty about this and that. We mentioned we both love Dr Seuss and I love Salvador Dali. This eclectic collection was somewhere in those elevated realms. Mind boggling to say the least and my mind was severely boggled by the time we left !

As always...great art!But I want to point out just how much the manager, Brian, should be complimented and commented on. In a difficult field this young man seems to "get it"...offers good advice as well as actually listens to his clients. I've recommended his gallery to friends and none have been disappointed. BRAVO, BRIAN!PS.. very nice receptions as well.Pss...Had some free time, so stopped in on Sunday(2/9/20). Brian was there, accessible, after his very friendly staff had shown me new pieces downstairsOnce again I was very impressed by both his knowledge, ability to synthesize ideas, and his ability to learn. All of my friends that I've refered have had similar positive experiences. Too bad he's not in my field...any physician or consultant would grab him. Still, selfishly... I love the artist and Brian represents him in the best way possible. Keep it up!

Let me start by saying Kush is an amazing artist! We purchased a very expensive print from the Laguna Beach gallery. When we received the print there were obvious blemishes in the clear coat ( huge vertical streaks, see picture ). We sent the painting back to Brian the gallery manager. They sent us a new print which unfortunately had the same blemishes. They admitted to the flaws in the clear coat on both prints. Brian's solution was to refurbish the print. Not only was Brian arrogant and patronizing, but now they have had our money and the print for months. Upon further investigation they have been sending blemished prints to multiple collectors. If you have a large Kush print you should have it professionally inspected to ensure you are not one of many who recieved a flawed print. Before purchasing any print be warned! You may not receive what you pay for!! Furthermore expect to be dismissed ignored and insulted throughout the process. This is truly a black eye on the reputation and practices of a truly exceptional artist.UPDATE: In respects to your reply I do have knowledge and proof. I have a traditional education in printmaking. Similar problems in your clear coating process were easily identifiable in a large print of 'The Secret passage'. Also Corey from the Nevada gallery made it clear that this is a problem that you've seen before. In fact she has a print of 'Route 66' with the same issues. Her remarks, "I would be furious if I payed for it". Brian was respectful when talking to me, a man. However when speaking to women he was disrespectful, demeaning, and chauvinist. This is in NO WAY a case of buyer's remorse. If it was why would I give you so many chances to fix it? It is a case of poor customer service and and a lack of willingness to take the necessary steps to rectify mistakes on your part. I think you should go back and read all of Brian's communications as it would be very clear that he was backpedaling and talking out of both sides of his mouth. If it was an isolated incident it wouldn't of happened twice with the same print. Though I understand this is a generic attempt to save face it is not based in reality. If somebody had taken the time it took to write this response to simply have a logical and reasonable conversation with me the issue would have already been resolved. It should be noted that the artist still has our money and our print and refuses to communicate with us. That is the reason why I had to write this review in the first place.BUYER BEWARE!

Feedback:

Kush is my favorite artist; examining his works in this gallery was a transcendent experience. I could only spend 4 hours in Laguna Beach and am grateful to the two staff members who answered questions and allowed me to browse the gallery undisturbed all that time. It was still not enough time to adequately digest all the paintings, giant murals, sculptures, and jewelry. With a live viewing, I was able to pick up details (sometimes entire objects) that I missed even after multiple examinations over the Internet. Unfortunately, world-class fine art is (for now) outside my budget, but they did sell autographed copies of Kush's books. The ideal volume for deciphering metaphorical realism is silence, but my foam earplugs adequately dampened the volume of a gallery crowded with curious art lovers. Two small rooms with light dimmers allowed me to see how Kush's paintings change under different brightnesses.I didn't take any photos out of respect for the rules!

Very high quality art. They take a lot of care in what they do. As to the status, I really like that as well. But style is so personal. That's hard to review. Quality, that's more factual. They are a high quality for sure. :)The pictures don't do justice. Also just because these photos are essentially statues of bugs, please don't think that's all they have. Their art work is fabulous and more centered around natural scenes, with a very nice twist to each one.

Kinda odd experience. I walked in with a friend. I had on jeans and a white Tshirt and dress boots. Granted i was a little scruffy. One of the ladies seemed to keep her eye on me and follow me around when there were atleast 10 other people there. Not sure what that was about but i felt very uncomfortable. I wonder if she would have approaced me differently if she knew i had 120k in the bank and was looking for new art work for my new home in manhattan beach. Memo to the staff here. Do NOT judge a book by its cover or color. And btw. My jeans cost $300, my boots cost $450 and that plain white t shirt cost $100.
