I drive a little under 2 hours from Manhattan to come to KU med, because Manhattan is lacking in quality healthcare. I have an unusual set of symptoms and after a year of getting no where with my doctor there, I decided to see Dr. Stone, an internist here. She is respectful, kind, and immediately had ideas of what could be causing my symptoms. All of the ladies at the check in desks are impressively cheerful and friendly (especially at the desks for labwork). Lab result come in quickly and within the timeframe they say that they will (this is a new concept to me after dealing with via christi in manhattan). Basically it is unquestionably worth the two hour drive each way and half a tank of gas.
