EVENING STAR ! I checked out this brand new restaurant this afternoon. It is so refreshing that an actual restaurant has opened in coastal Encinitas and not just another bar which serves food. It certainly looks very inviting inside. I was greeted at the hostess desk by charming Nadia who explained they didn't actually open until 5.30pm but I was free to have a look around and take some photos to show my wife. Nadia also handed me a menu sheet. I was also fortunate to meet and have an informative chat with restaurant GM Ryan Callahan. Wood-fired anything is probably our favorite food so I can't wait to bring my wife here for dinner. And then I got even more fortunate when the Executive Chef / Partner Sara Harris came over to say hi to me. If the talented and committed staff I met here are anything to go by then this new classy eatery is going to go off like skyrockets. There is no name on the building yet but the excellent wood-fired food will do the talking I'm sure !
