I went on a Tuesday, which apparently is trivia night. More on that later.Place is nestled right in the high activity portion of the Adams Morgan strip, a door or two down from Tattoo Paradise. There's an upstairs, possibly a roof, but I didn't see it myself. I did see a patio that comfortably seats three tables of <3.The staff seems capable, and moderately friendly, which is like the best friendly. You know what I mean, they're helpful, and knowledgeable, without being that overly, weird, bubbly that is just kinda fake. Great selection on draft beer, without being too...uppity. It's a pizza joint, and while that isn't really kicking down any doors, it hits the spot.They have a great happy hour price point, so check that out.Tuesday is trivia night. Get there on time, and make sure you have a space at the tables closer to the kitchen. This is where trivia host guy has his set up, and his speaker only blesses those in that area. (Which is a plus, if you aren't there for trivia, and don't want to hear mundane questions about something random no one cares about.)All in all, the place is cool. Check it out!

Really like this place.Most of the time they have great atmosphere, good pizza & drinks. This time we've unfortunately found some RATS running around looking for some food & shelter. That's too much for me!! Sorry you lost a customer!You can easily say 'I'm sorry' or at least give us a nice discount, but instead you said nothing! Good luck my friends.

Decided to make a stop here to sit, talk, and have a nice pie. Even though it was busy, they had room for two more. Service was nice and did not seemed bothered that we stayed a little longer to continue our talk, but we compensated hopefully in our tip. Now to the good stuff. Beer and wine selections were as diverse and limited as any other place around, so if you are looking at just a bar - don't go here. Yet if you are looking at a pie that is full of flavor- this is the place. We ordered the largest one for two people. Needless to say, a box was needed as there was no way we were going to eat all of it. Partly due to the hummus appetizer we started with. That was both a good and bad call as we really did not need it, but it was very good. Enough for four or more people to enjoy as an appetizer. The pizza was a little dark, borderline burnt on the bottom, which made it easier to pick up by hand, but for some of us who like to eat our pies with utensils, cutting it was a little difficult. Overall, would I go again. Absolutely. I would leave off the appetizer, order the pie,and have one drink (or two). The roof top was closed, which disappointed us, but it was still a great place to go.

Short staff and long wait is the reason they’re getting 3 stars. The food and drinks were good. I went out with friends on a Saturday during PorchFest in Adams Morgan (neighborhood bands- block party) and perhaps the restaurant wasn’t prepared ...??? But their was no crowd. We sat outside because of the beautiful weather and people watching... and the bartender inside also waited on the outside tables as well. Need better management to schedule appropriate shifts. Anyway I had the veg out pizza with the classical crust (well buttered an parmesan down crust) and my friend had meatballs. I could only eat 1 1/2 slices but super delicious 😋

This place was awesome, they did not have trivia as scheduled but our server, Angela, was amazing and a great person to talk too. We had an excellent time and can't wait to come back. I highly recommend going to this restaurant and both the food the service will impress you greatly. Thank you for a great experience!!!Get the Bruschetta you will not be disappointed!

I never write reviews but felt compelled after this mediocre meal. I ordered a steak salad (ribeye) with roasted mushroom trio. It came out to $17.98, it said 12$ on the menu. They forgot salad dressing AND There is no way it was ribeye, they must have though I was dumb. It was tenderized, overcooked tbone with no flavor, and sliced sauteed bella mushrooms! I could have cooked a WAY better meal myself for much less. Nice try.

Excellent food! Awesome Staff! Highly Recommend Visited with a large group and only gave them two hours notice. They welcomed us and set up tables exactly as we requested. The service for a large group was very friendly, fast and accurate. The servers got all of the 30 orders perfect even with our split checks. They have a great variety of pizzas and sandwiches. The food was excellent. The management and staff could not be better. We will definitely return!

Placed a take out order that got lost in the shuffle. Seems like the host got cut early and didn't mention my order. That being said most of the employees on duty saw me and ignored me for the better part of an hour. Finally I went to cancel my order, which it turns out had been ready for most of my wait. At my request the manager voided my payment. He gave me my order, which, by the way, is delicious, for free. The manager was not on the floor for the most of my wait. But I cannot stress enough that any of the FOH staff could have come over to me and checked in. Definitely some cases of 'not my problem.' Ideally that's not how a restaurant should function. Impressed with the pizza, management met expectations, FOH staff did not impress. I'd go back again cause the food is tasty but a similar experience would put me off for good.

I'm a fan of Mellow Mushroom in general and this location didn't disappoint. If you just want pizza, there are better all around pizza joints in DC but MM has a wide variety of things which can really come in handy when getting food for a group. And don't get me wrong, the pizza is pretty good, just not as good as some others. They do offer a ton of topping options though, which is great. I really like their holy shitake specialty pie. Another big plus is that they have vegan options so your vegan friends can get a pizza with vegan cheeze and proteins, nit just a cheeseless veggie pie.

I ordered steak & cheese calzone. Not happy. Bread appeared not to be cooked well, and onions, green peppers not cooked in the steak. I haven't given up on this place yet. Perhaps it was a wrong night. Will try steak & cheese sandwich next time though. Calzone is out. -- We went Mellow Mushroom for the second time last Friday and tried steak & cheese sandwich. Server Rena was very helpful. I upped my earlier rating to 4 stars. Cheers.
