Never a bad experience. ******9/5/19: upgraded to 5 stars******Monarch significantly remodeled it's shop rebranded as MedMen, and has a new system for shopping products. The new experience is more Best Buy (a good thing) and less pharmacy. All/most products are on display with all relevant information clearly available on an electronic touch screen next to the product.After I got used to it, I personally found it to be a more informative shopping experience. A shout out to Kimberly at the Pima/Via de Ventura location. Knowledgeable. Listens. Leads me to what I want!

Breaks my heart because Monarch used to be my favorite dispensary. Since the MedMen buy out, it’s been infrequent deals (I used to get text deals every day, now I get NOTHING. Not even for 4/20 etc), what deals there are aren’t on things I use (flower, dabables etc- no concentrates or edibles), and when there are sales, what I want is ALWAYS sold out. Plus, prices are insane compared to what they were before. The staff that is left from Monarch is still great and I really miss my local spot.

Good selection and always fresh the staff can really help you with all of your needs but especially your medical ailments. Everyone here is Amazing, great personalities super friendly and every experience is as if you went back in time in a small town with your best friends. Best staff in Arizona.

Lol this dispensary is a joke they know their weed is old crusty and lacks thc so they put a magnifying glass on everything to mask how fossilized the bud actually is on top of that they actually pay people to make good reviews because everyone I know that has went here never will return and they don’t even have a bogo bottom shelf is like 60$ and it’s not comparable with the bottom shelf of most any other shop in Arizona. Monarch dispensary is not the same place it used to be. I’m a medical patient with a neurological disorder. So I really depend on the reliability of my dispensary. I’m sad to say that this is not the case for this place anymore. They have been bought out and taken over by a corporate company from California called medmen. The majority of the old staff is gone and so is the warm friendly vibe, quality and the regular products they used to have. I’ve tried going back a couple times after the take over but they don’t have what I used to get. I’ve even placed orders that went through only to go there and be told that they don’t have what I ordered. I’ve chatted with what’s left of the staff and I guess they also put staff that have been there for years on probation and and are trying to hire new (less knowledgeable) staff so they can pay them less. It’s typical corporate bs but it’s sad to see it happening to my favorite dispensary. It’s also incredibly frustrating to have to find a new reliable one especially since I am actually a medical patient and not just a recreational user. Medmen has come in and ruined something really beautiful. So if you want to support a corporate monster that’s trying to take over the marijuana market in az, has no care about the medical users or the staff it displaces and screws over and has a poor selection and recently raised prices...... Medmen is the place for you. Otherwise RIP monarch dispensary.

Best in the valley!!! Staff is always friendly & respectful. I've experienced product pushing and lifestyle preaching at other dispensaries, but this place does not give unsolicited advice, they only give recommendations at request. They actually trust when a patient knows what works for them! Also love the relaxed atmosphere. Don't change a thing Monarch!

I enjoy Monarch. They have a decent selection of good-not-great quality flower and concentrates. The specials they offer from time to time make the visit worth it. It is not my go-to dispensary in the valley any longer, and I think they could do with a managerial overhaul to better evaluate their staff, where the great employees seem to be short term for whatever reason. I am happy to see them fielding real security employees who aren't sitting with their feet up listening to an ipod all day. Much better image than before. I will be back to Monarch. If you are looking for a stop-gap or if they have a special that works for you, check them out.

A nice clean place with the worst medicine in the valley (and high prices!). Came here thinking Scottsdale might have better medicine than the rest of the valley, but ended up being the worst flower! Pre packaged and horrible taste, and they make you pay out your pocket at ridiculous prices! The price leads you to think you're getting fire but you end up with ash ass taste left in your mouth!
