A most lovely dining experience. I took my niece here for dinner because I am a lover of good food and this place absolutely deserves the highest of ratings. The service was absolutely wonderful, Noah and Juan were our servers and they were absolutely divine.Our courses were brought out in a timely manner, not too quickly nor slowly, a rough five minutes between each to give time for our food to settle, for us to talk, and situate any additional drinks we may have wanted in between. Do take into consideration that this is a full dining experience and expect your stay to last at least two hours.The food was spectacular. Rich in flavor and texture all around. After trying the roasted cauliflower soup as my first dish, I knew there was not a single dish on their menu I would be displeased with, and as the courses continued to arrive throughout the night, my expectations were met and exceeded each time. Noah was gracious enough to let us know that any allergies or preferences would be accommodated as well.The ambiance was beautiful, low lit, comfortable, and, most importantly, private feeling. I'm a person who enjoys my distance from other diners while conversing or eating and the distance was appreciated, especially with the need to social distance in these trying times. Easily a very romantic restaurant but comfortable for meetings with clients as well.At the end of our meal, we could not eat another bite so we ordered our desserts to go and the servers wrapped our remaining course for us and our bill was taken care of promptly, something I greatly appreciate.The only place I could compare this to is Arnaud's in New Orleans and Arnaud's is a fine dining establishment that has been five stars for more than one hundred years and even then the service at Cafe Monarch was a step above thanks to Noah and Juan's impeccable, beautiful, gracious attitudes and attentiveness.I truly want to express how exceptional Noah and Juan were, not to take away from how phenomenal the food was, of course.I absolutely will return and hope to become a regular here if my schedule will allow such.

Wonderful all around. They make things you would never even think to be delicious.. Exactly that.. Delicious. Creative and elegant dishes that you'll never forget. The ambiance is gorgeous, and the wait staff is impeccable. Not stodgy feeling at all, yet still classy. We were made to feel comfortable, and I appreciate that. The only issue I've had (the two times I've been, had the same problem each time..), is that the dinner scallops, although perfectly cooked.. Had sand in every bite. I can't get through a whole one without struggling. Other than that.. Everything was on point.

I came in last night for dinner and the experience blew me away. The decor was exquisite, the drinks were impeccable and the food was insurmountable. It’s mind-blowing how the chef can then something as simple as cauliflower soup into a dish that is now in my top 5. The service is top-tier; my servers never let my glass get half-empty. I will definitely be coming back, and I now highly recommend Café Monarch.

There's an easy luxurious vibe that permeates Cafe Monarch. Once you've made your reservation online, the staff quickly calls you to gather important information regarding events being celebrated or if you have dietary concerns. Upon arriving, you're cared for in the most natural and unassuming way possible. Certainly the decor and the menu (and price) indicate this as a fine dining experience, but there remains a sense that the staff truly want you to have a good time. They want you to love your experience. That said, the place isn't stuffy, either. With vaulted ceilings, tile floors, and plenty of indoor seating (there's a patio, too), the place is almost a little loud with boisterous conversation and laughter. It's all high end, but is comfortable in its own skin and the sense of relaxation is welcome. The prix fixe menu actually feels like it has lots of options. Both of us ordered off the vegetarian menu and each of the four courses contained options that forced us to make some difficult choices. Of particular note was the spanakopita, which was glorious, and the vegetarian lasagna, which was unlike (in all the right ways) any lasagna I've ever tasted. The oyster mushroom stack was also unique and delicious. It must be stated that the sommelier, Wesam, is a cut above. His true passion to deliver the most generous and easy care to our table was memorable and ingratiating. A casual question about the tomato marmalade on one of the courses from my fiancee resulted in his hand-writing the recipe down for us before the end of dessert. Who does that? The price might be concerning, but if you're in the market for a dinner you will likely tell everyone you know all about, then it's time to splurge on Cafe Monarch. It will likely become the place you go to when you have milestones to celebrate. Because ultimately, this place is one of the only places you'll find in the valley that knows how to design a genuine celebratory night.

We happened to be in the area and had heard about the restaurant so we stopped in. It was early maybe 5:30 or 6. The place was fairly empty. The hostess was very gracious when we asked if we could sit at the bar and have a drink. When she asked the bartender he had a snobby attitude and said the bar is reserved for patrons waiting for their tables. There weren’t any patrons waiting for their tables! The attitude was enough to put me off of that restaurant!

Cafe Monarch is an exceptional restaurant that easily earns the highest of marks. The service is excellent, the food exquisite, the drinks perfect, dessert the finest compliment to a flawless meal. It's difficult to write this review, because I find perfection to be an enigma, but when you come across such a thing it deserves to be remarked upon. I look forward to returning as soon as my checkbook allows me to. Well done.

This is a 5 star restaurant that I’ll only give 4 stars. We dined there last night for my husbands birthday and the restaurant is gorgeous. We were outside, weather was great, all of the staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. The pitfall, we had a table to the left where every 5 minutes this young lady would start going off and yelling at people at her table. Then the tables behind us had, had quite a bit to drink and decided to make friends with each other and were talking across the restaurant, drunk and loud then wandering around taking pictures. At the end, we asked our server if this was typical customers - he said the table next to us were regulars who spend a lot of money, the other were from out of town. Will we be back? Maybe, it’s not quite the dining experience we were hoping for and to spend the money again and chance a meh evening again we may not.

We celebrated our newly wedded dinner at Cafe Monarch on March 4, 2020. The food was amazing. I recommend the Cauliflower Soup, Brussel Sprouts and the Vegetable Risotto. My husband had the Steak Tartare and the Rack of Lamb. We were treated to champagne and a complimentary desert. The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was exceptional.

We finally made it to Café Monarch and wish we had gone earlier. The structure of the menu - four courses - put my friend, who is a small eater with quite a few food allergies, off. He was very reassured by our excellent server who actually wrote down what his allergies were. The restaurant is elegant without being stuffy. Even though it was a very warm day (by our standards) we chose to sit inside and had the best of both worlds as our table was right by French doors leading to the courtyard with a fountain and they were open. Service cannot be faulted. It is attentive without being obtrusive in any way.

Highly suggest selecting one of the two wine pairings options. Your wine will be selected based on each of your course selections. We found this to be an important and wonderful enhancement to the bite by bite most incredible dining experience. From beginning to end, we found our Cafe Monarch experience to be the highest quality in every aspect, every encounter, every bite and every sip. Bon appetite!
