The house, The Dairy Farm manor, is atrociously unkempt with stains everywhere and the smell was pure musk. Lidia (or Monica?) came out of the gate with a confusing check in process. We finally got to the spot and I was too tired to deal with finding another place last minute. VRBO was no help until I called them with the report my cabin had no power!!!! They said it was an “act of god” but I spoke with Edison after and they said it was routine scheduled maintenance for refitting the electric poles re: wildfires. They let property owners KNOW this. And this is no act of God. Instead of refunding me for the day of no electric, I was forced to report them to: BBB, VRBO’s trust and safety group and I reported and flagged them to my bank. Additionally, I have a serious health condition so I needed a place to plug in my breathing equipment. I couldn’t do so and she told me to: 1. just go into town and use the power there (reminder: we have a viral pandemic in which I am immunocompromised) 2. I was told I was “free to leave” Unreal. Terrible customer service. Unprofessional is understatement. Vacation weekend a total bust. Do. not. rent. from. them. I have more issues with the whole exchange but suffice to say, it felt good to see someone else below reviewing them as they are. And it calls into question if those positive reviews are actually real. Hope this helps lots of folks in the future. This is not a place to spend your money.
