We rented Coyote Moon cabin and had to leave immediately because of an intense gas leak in the kitchen. The prop manager Monica (who also says her name is Lidia) admitted on the phone that they had:-“prior knowledge of the gas leak” - had “numerous previous complaints” about the smell of the leak yet never disclosed that info to us until after they collected our money and we called feeling dizzy upon entering the rental property because of the intense fumes - had the nerve to say “just open a window of it bothers you” We’ve reported this the City of Riverside, the Better Business Bureau and are looking into filing a lawsuit to better protect the public as these crooks are taking people‘s money while they unknowingly walk into the house with a carcinogenic that can cause cancers and even death which, obviously, is a clear violation of California Law

The house, The Dairy Farm manor, is atrociously unkempt with stains everywhere and the smell was pure musk. Lidia (or Monica?) came out of the gate with a confusing check in process. We finally got to the spot and I was too tired to deal with finding another place last minute. VRBO was no help until I called them with the report my cabin had no power!!!! They said it was an “act of god” but I spoke with Edison after and they said it was routine scheduled maintenance for refitting the electric poles re: wildfires. They let property owners KNOW this. And this is no act of God. Instead of refunding me for the day of no electric, I was forced to report them to: BBB, VRBO’s trust and safety group and I reported and flagged them to my bank. Additionally, I have a serious health condition so I needed a place to plug in my breathing equipment. I couldn’t do so and she told me to: 1. just go into town and use the power there (reminder: we have a viral pandemic in which I am immunocompromised) 2. I was told I was “free to leave” Unreal. Terrible customer service. Unprofessional is understatement. Vacation weekend a total bust. Do. not. rent. from. them. I have more issues with the whole exchange but suffice to say, it felt good to see someone else below reviewing them as they are. And it calls into question if those positive reviews are actually real. Hope this helps lots of folks in the future. This is not a place to spend your money.

I rented a property called SUNSET PERCH in Idyllwild last weekend from them. The first night, as soon as we turned on the light, we were all shocked as huge insects were flying all over the place. We had to spend 2 hours killing them. On the 2nd night, we were hanging out on the deck, and doors were closed. We came in and the same story all over again.On the bright side, when I reached out to them, they gave us full refund of one night, and also the balcony view was spectacular.

Grossly irresponsible to renters, neighbors and rental owners. We live next door to one of their rental homes. Their advertising encourages large groups, which often means late night partyers. There is no vetting like with Airbnb so it attracts groups who can no longer rent with Airbnb.If you can get them to respond at all, the staff refuses to come out and stop the noise as required by the local ordinance. The Sheriff has been called twice in a month by different neighbors for big loud parties. Renters complain about things not working, ways they were lied to in the ad, how they cannot get anyone to come out to fix problems and how their credit card was later charged for things they didn't do. New Spirit posted an advertisement during Covid-19 to bring people into our elderly community in violation of the state order. As of this writing, short term rentals for tourists are still in violation and NSVH is still renting choosing profit over local health.Often we hear loud drunken arguments that end in banging or breaking sounds and a sheriff visit. After big parties repairmen show up. Their guests trespass over neighbor properties. Guests parking overflows into the street blocking emergency vehicles in our fire prone area. Staff refuses to act. I had a staff member say to me, "They called after 10pm. I'm not coming out after 10!". It was funny. This is a profit over community company.

Thank god I didn't show up this Friday, because the home I booked over a month ago had septic tank issues and I would not have been let in. The only way I found out about this was when I called them to verify our reservations today... 5 days before our stay. They drafted an e-mail to us failed to send it- and didn't bother to call us to let us know of this problem. After finding this out, I still tried to go through them to rent a home (they did not offer us any discounts for their mistake) they had only 1 rental which did not meet our needs. Now I am scrambling (oh, and I am at work) trying to find a nice rental for a vacation we have been looking forward to, not much left to rent since there's only 5 days until this trip. VERY UNHAPPY.

Terrible company to deal with.Overcharged us for alleged damages, stopped responding to any attempts to communicate in order to resolve the issue. Could not prove the damages to the credit card company, so they sent it to the collection agency for the WHOLE AMOUNT OF THE RENTAL that has already been paid for, not just the alleged damage.Idyllwild is beautiful, you'd be wise to arrange your rental somewhere else.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunset Perch in Idyllwild! A group of friends and I came for the weekend to celebrate my birthday – there were 10 of us and I was worried it would be a bit tight but we all had plenty of space. The property is beautiful and the view is absolutely stunning. We spent much of our stay on the deck enjoying nature. Though there are houses nearby, it feels very secluded and private. I contacted the host management company in advance to make sure the hot tub would be up for us and they assured us it would. It was, and it was a really lovely addition to our stay. We brought a lot of our own kitchen supplies (pots, pans, spatulas, etc) as we didn’t know how well the kitchen would be stocked. We needn’t have brought anything, the kitchen is indeed fully stocked and has some charming vintage pieces as well as the expected modern stuff. Everyone at Spirit Vacation Rentals was friendly, reachable and accommodating for our stay. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you!

Great Company and some absolutely beautiful homes, we stayed in Lilly Rock, an absolutely amazing house with gorgeous views of Lilly Rock you are so close you can almost "reach out and touch it" LOL, Monica and the entire staff was helpful and really went out of their way to help us to enjoy our stay in the awesome little town. Check out their Non profit shoe boutique, great shoes and an awesome cause.

Wow! What a great house! We thoroughly enjoyed the location of the home with being able to walk to town, the grocery store and restaurants. Playing pool was very enjoyable and the spa... so nice in the snow! The bedrooms were great and far enough away from each other to have your privacy. The retro bathrooms are so cute too! Everything you need to enjoy your vacation!!!
