Update 01/31/2020: It's been almost a month since I wrote this review and still no one has cared to reach out to me, except the person monitoring their social media feed. She told me on 2 instances that someone will reach out to me, but it seems no one cares.I went to this clinic for my annual physical and talked with my physician and he ordered a bunch of tests. I thought it was a normal annual physical that I've been having since past 5 years, but to my surprise I received a $400 bill a few weeks after my visit. I dug deeper to see what the charges were for and found that the physician requested tests that were not covered by my insurance. I called my insurance company and found that the tests requested would not be covered by any insurance, as those are not part of "annual physical tests". SO definitely it's not because my insurance is bad. I called the physician's office to ask why these tests were ordered and I was told the doctor ordered it as it was my first visit. On top of that the physician himself described me as a healthy individual. Then my question is why were those tests ordered! I specifically told them that those tests were not requested by me and they were ordered without letting me know that I'd have to pay $400 for them. To that I got a rude response saying told I should've known what my insurance covers. But as a matter of fact the office did not give me an opportunity to review anything before the tests. My blood was drawn and I was sent home. I got the reports the same day evening! How am I supposed to review anything? After this I was told that someone from the management side will contact me and I never received any call from anyone and they're sticking all these charges on me! It seems that either the doctors are not knowledgeable enough or they're trying to make money off the patients. Really bad experience, bad customer service and wouldn't advice to visit this office. If you happen to visit, I would advice to demand what they're going to do before they hand you an exorbitant bill that is not even necessary!

He was able to diagnose an issue that was assumed to be nothing by a prior doctor. His demeanor is so pleasant and he takes his time with you. It has been a long time since I found a doctor that I would never want to leave. I am blessed to have him and highly recommend him to anyone. Also, his staff is amazing: courteous, patience, kind. Thank you Dr. Fenton, Eva and the entire staff.

My doctor has been Dr. Angel Ochoa since the beginning of the year. What a marvelous caring, hard working doctor. I have been having many health issues and he woks through each one with me. Thank you Scripps for having such a marvelous doctor.

While the care isn't subpar, everything else is deceitful. I went for a physical and the appointment was changed without my consent from an annual physical to a focused visit which I was then charged for plus the partial physical they didn't complete. Made an appointment to complete the physical and have been billed again because whoever made the appointment didn't schedule it as an annual physical and have been given the run around about getting it resubmitted to insurance correctly. Talk about dishonest. Will never go back.

We had our 9 month well baby visit for our twin girls today with Dr. Olga Rose. I have been meaning to write sooner, but that's life with twins. Olga is so knowledgeable, professional, organized and most importantly, easy to talk to. She makes us feel important and ensures all of our questions are answered. Whenever we need outside help, such as a lactation consultant, she makes sure to provide more than one resource so that we have options. I feel so lucky that we can call Dr. Rose our pediatrician!

My experience with Angel Ochoa – My former PCP in Escondido Scripps. I have had a total of 6 medical appointments with Dr. Ochoa. During my first appointment he was very professional, nice, helpful and made me feel welcomed. I will always remember how he made me feel welcomed. I was not familiar with Scripps, so he explained every little detail about the company. For example, the fact that there is an online website to obtain results. He is a hardworking MD. He takes his time and does not rush the appointments compared to other Scripps providers I have seen. He is a MD who instead of following the saying “work smarter not harder” he just works HARDER! I’m a female and I’m in my mid twenty’s so I do not have major health issues however every major concern I had Ochoa listened to them and assisted me with my issue. He moved to 4318 Mission Ave Oceanside, CA 92057 and I’m saddened because he was my PCP in Escondido.I’m thankful for whoever decided to hire Angel Ochoa.

I came to this medical facility for the first time in August. I met with a NP regarding redness in my eyes. The NP was puzzled and had no theories as to what I may be experiencing. I decided to share with her some of my googling research on my symptoms and thoughts I had on a diagnosis. She quickly agreed with my research and suggested I see an eye doctor. I am now stuck with a $150 bill for educating a NP with information from google. I am beyond annoyed.

Completely unimpressive. From the LVN to PA to phlebotomist. This was my first and last visit. The LVN gave off such a snobbish attitude towards me and I felt she was judging me the entire encounter. The PA decided it would be an appropriate time to talk to me about some of her heath issues... entirely unprofessional. The phlebotomist decided when she missed my vein to blame me because "I couldn't take it", so she had to stick me again. I've worked in the medical field for the last 7 years and I would have never imagined treating one of my patients the way scripps treated me. Your customer service sucks.

HORRIBLE. Margarita Cuenca whom works here in patient advocacy was so rude to us. Left several messages w her she calls back sounding heavily medicated and can't remember basic things. Not sure if she has a drinking problem but I had to repeate my email 6 times to her and she still had trouble writing it down. She started speaking very condescending to me and when I asked her to stop she said she was a manager and can speak however she wants. Horrible she needs to be drug tested and fired.
