Efficient is a good word. Attitude is another. I truly want to thank Kaiser for being patient and scheduling me although I was very late on knee replacement.Dr. Cordero and staff which are too many to mention have a positive attitude which was a great comfort to me.

I am an emergency medical technician at an undisclosed ambulance company. I have been transporting patients to this facility for 5 years. Palmdale Regional is the worst hospital I have ever been too. In my 5 years of experience I have come to realize that Palmdale Regional cares more about money than it does patient care. I have waited for countless hours with patients in pain sitting in the hospital hallway. Due to Palmdale Regionals greed, ambulance personnel are forced to wait with patients on their ambulance gurney in the hallways of the emergency room for hours on end. This is due to the fact Palmdale Regional refuses to adequately staff nurses, resulting in the deaths of numerous patients in need of urgent medical attention. This also effects ambulance response times to 911 calls throughout the Antelope Valley. Almost daily there are times where not a single ambulance is available within 30 miles. This is because a majority of ambulance crews are sitting in Palmdale Regional hallway doing the hospital’s job of watching patients. There have been numerous times when critical calls such as traffic accidents or cardiac arrests are just miles from the hospital however the nearest ambulance available is 45 minutes away. With all the negative reviews and negative experiences I am surprised this hospital has not changed its ways. Every time someone posts a review they get an automated response from the owner acting like he actually cares. The owner does not care about his hospital’s patients, all he cares about is another dollar in his pocket.
Feedback:
I was taken to this hospital by ambulance because I was having severe chest pain. After they checked me in they wheeled me to the hallway where I sat there for hours with the EMTs. There was 5 other people sitting on the ambulance stretcher against the wall too. One of them started having a seizure when they were just sitting against the wall. After 8 hours of sitting in the stretcher and not being seen by and hospital staff I decided to leave and go to AV hospital. I didn’t want to drive my car because I was scared I was going to have a heart attack. Don’t go to this trash hospital, they don’t know how to treat a women of color.

This is the worst experience I ever had taking a family member to a hospital. The lack of compassion and apathy from the ER staff is one reason this hospital should not be in business providing care for patient. We spent 8 hours waiting in the lobby and never able to see a doctor. Karen the charge nurse and the admitting staff in the front keeps on giving us run around. They kept on saying they are cleaning the assigned room. 2 hrs later the room is still not ready. It got so uncomfortable just waiting that we have to leave. There ought to be a law prohibiting hospitals like Palmdale Regional Medical Center getting paid from any insurance or any government paying agency for rendering such a horrible service. I rather drive down to LA than coming to Palmdale Regional Medical Center. I wonder how they are still in business with all the bad reviews.
Feedback:
I went in for surgery on 6/16/20. Let me just say that from the moment I checked in to the moment i was discharged the staff took complete care of my needs. The nursing staff was awesome..especially nurse swati. She was so awesome to deal with. I can’t remember the other nurses names because I was pretty much In recovery and in pain but they were awesome as well. Thank you dr. Chahal. And the staff at Palmdale regional.
Feedback:
This facility is a joke along with the staff (primarily the nurses and case managers) and I’m in the process of requesting a transfer now due to negligence, lack of care and compassion. The nurses seem to ONLY be there for their check! The doctors aren’t much better. They order medication to shut the patients up and not actually take care of the issue. Discharge only for patients to come right back due to not making sure the patient is well enough to complete their recovery at home. If you love your loved ones DDO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!!!
Feedback:
The service at Palmdale regional Hospital is unacceptable. Being a patient with insurance and waiting 10 hours to be seen for a 30 minute procedure is not acceptable. Also while Finally being transported to a room with a bed I overheard a staff member I believe an RN using foul profanity as she was arguing with a patient or a person who is taking care of a patient that she brought in. No matter what the terms and conditions are a staff member of Palmdale regional should never lose their temper and resort to profanity vulgar profanity on top of that. When I addressed the issue of the time it took to be seen, the reason giving, was the shortage of beds and staffing but when I went to the back and I actually received a bed there was only three being used supposedly they have access to 25. To make matters worse as the door was open and close to where the doctors were sitting I saw one doctor leisurely sitting there just having a conversation not reading any material as if he was relaxing, whether that was the case or not perception is everything. There were numerous people complaining about the late time some had been there 13 hours and not have been seen, another person said that’s when she checked her patient in the she’d not received any vitals.Working in media I have direct access to the CEO of Palmdale regional Hospital and I will be addressing my concerns.

One star is being nice.Seen a lot of certain individuals being taken first when others were here before, still waiting to see if my foot is dislocated or not let’s see how long my beard grows before I see a doctor and I’ll most likely still be here so if you’d like to speak to me and make lies about how lazy you are and blame it on the patient count I would love to entertain it
Feedback:
Of all hospitals, PRMC has, by far, the longest wait in the emergency room. We arrived, by ambulance, around 6:30 pm and it wasn’t until 24 hours later that a permanent room was assigned to me. I sustained bed sores from that terribly uncomfortable mattress. Others weren’t so lucky. My roommate who arrived minutes after me was still waiting for a room. Your motto of keeping patients comfortable while at PRMC does not apply. I understand the reason you take charge of my medication once in the hospital, but your doctor went radically off-base with my meds. This left me in a precarious position in that I wasn’t receiving all of my meds. They injected far less insulin that I normally have, resulting in my blood surgar lever being excessive. They reduced my Gabapentine from 600mg, 4X’s daily, to 1-300 mg daily. I had neuropathy pain all the time; I couldn’t sleep and my feet and hands ached all day. Your doctor refused to change it citing that it damaged my kidneys. This was well known to my Primary Care Physician (PCP) but he felt that the benefits outweighed of this drug outweighed the side effects. I began bringing in my own drugs, until your administrator sat down with us and we entered into an agreement that you increase the dose to 3 – 300mg tabs, daily in exchange that I forgo from bringing in my own meds. And this is from someone who is vocal. Imagine this happening to someone who is docile? Crazy. Apart from that, your nursing staff is outstanding, save from one or two. Even your doctors on staff have good bedside manners. Again, your release is much like your admission – long awaiting. We knew that we were being release the following date. The sign on the wall says to be prepared to leave by 11am. We left at 7 PM. In the military we have a slogan, “Hurry up and wait.” May I suggest you adopt this slogan because, buddy, you folks are slow. mx
Feedback:
I took my daughter to ER Saturday and the service was okay but the the waiting to get my daughter a bed was way too long. We got there at 2:30 pm and ended up cancelling her doctor at 6:30 pm. I asked how long will it take to get her a bed for more testing and the front RN told me that the bed she's going in was still occupied by a patient and if there will be somebody coming in with critical she might get bumped. It's ridiculous that they don't have enough room to put patients in the bed and have doctor to check patients.
