Extremely good customer service from Jo at the Durham branch. Jo helped us choose our sofa, let us have a look around at other sofas in our own time, in case we saw something else we might like more.... more

Bought a two sofas from this store they have gone out of shape and look dreadful they sent a man out to check them he said to plump up the cushions which makes no difference it still looks no better a... more

Very disappointed. Ordered 2 sofas on 10th October with a lady called Lisa, who had taken over from a Sales rep called Jason who was lacking in customer service skills. Get it in time for Christmas their adverts say. Shown brief bits and pieces on their pad and asked to sign (Colour/Quantity/Size etc). Was told to expect delivery on 13th December, they asked if I could take sooner which I agreed to as long as they gave me notice so I could arrange for my old sofas to be collected. I phoned last Thursday 5th December after already letting one sofa go to ask when they were delivering as I hadn't been contacted and wanting to arrange the removal of my last remaining sofa. I was told the sofas hadn't yet arrived and they were down for estimated date into them of the 17th December. If they received them on the 17th they could deliver them up to 24th December. Like I explained, I was told 13th December - and that what I expect roughly on or around 13th. I wanted to speak to the Manager, Customer service could only send an email to branch to get in touch with me and it could take 24hr for a response so I went to branch. I spoke to Martin who was acting as branch manager. He told me he would look into it and arrange for someone to find out when delivery could be expected and they would ring me back tomorrow. Friday came and I got a phone call from Jason who was talking about terms and conditions - like I pointed out I wasn't given a copy of the terms and conditions when placing the order - they were emailed to me afterwards. I only got to see certain sections of the document due to it being on a digital pad. I didn't place the order with him, and he said he deals with carpets, so why on earth get him to ring me. He also said I might not get it for Christmas!! I requested him to do what Martin had said would be done which was contact the supplier to find out if the estimated date of the 17th was on target as he said himself there was no guarantee. He said he would ring me back later that day which hes not done 4 days later. So on Saturday afternoon I rang back Customer Services and spoke to John who emailed the manufacturer. Today is Tuesday nearly 2pm and I've phoned back up and spoke to Eve as I'm still waiting to hear. Unfortunately John forgot to put my order details on so the manufacturer couldn't provide an answer. Eve has resent the email so I'm still in libo....... Utter Nightmare I feel like I'm being passed from pillow to post. I'll never shop there again as they don't do what they say.

Both myself and my boyfriend were really happy with the service provided with ScS, the bloke who helped us in store was great, he was really casual and chatty which goes such a long way these days, really you just want to have an honest chat with someone who knows what they are talking about and not feel like you are being pushed into a sale.We ordered our 3 seater sofa and were told it'd arrive in roughly 6 weeks but potentially earlier, i think we waited just over 3 weeks.Immaculate sofa, was extremely happy with it and still am after having a few nights chilling out on it!Fab service from start to finish, really reasonable price for a very good quality sofa which will last. No pushy sales at all. Would probably only go to ScS now.The delivery blokes were also lovely too and did a fab job at getting the sofa through our very awkward porch!Thanks so much ScS Durham for being great!

Absolutely disgusting service. My grandmother who is 75 years old wanted a new sofa. Everything went fine, picked out the sofa she wanted. She was then roped into buying a new carpet, and paying for it all via cash. All paid upfront before even receiving anything. Surveyor came to do measurements, my gran then received a phonecall, stating she would be charged an extra £90 to fit, because her floor is concrete, her floor is suspended timber... How one can confuse concrete with suspended timber is beyond me, as she had told them on the phone. The quote from the carpet came through absolutely extortionate, when she had rang to ask why, we discovered they had given her a £30sqm carpet without her knowing. They have since informed that any furniture, anything as much as a side table, left in the room, will cost £45 per item to remove, despite her age. Because of all this hassle my whole family has been on the phone and faced abuse from the staff after trying to receive a refund and cancel. We've been told that a cancellation and refund is not possible as the carpet has already been cut and my grandmother is bound by contract. Firstly, if the carpet has been cut, how come it's going to take another 2 weeks to be delivered? Secondly, by law, any person can cancel a contract if they have not received goods yet, and should also by law, have a cooling off period. This company is an absolute disgrace, all they are concerned about is receiving their own money. The fact that they have the audacity to take advantage of an old woman is abhorrent, all they have done is bully an old lady to get more money out of her. We will be taking this further, we will be contacting trading standards and ombudsman. Avoid this company at all costs.

Fully explained insurance cover and finance options. Helped us choose a colour and set up for our corner sofa. No pressure selling and a really lovely lady. Felt totally at ease. Coffee was a really nice touch. Just waiting for sofa to arrive but we can't wait.

WOULD SHOP NO WHERE ELSE! From the minute we walked through the door we were greeted by lovely staff! In the end we have ordered our whole house to be carpeted and laminate flooring! Great prices and very cheap fitting! The staff have rang me with any small issues, updates on my carpets and delivery! The best part is the marble table we got for £995! Absolutely stunning! Cannot wait for it to arrive! Thanks again guys! 100% recommend!!

My fiance ordered a new sofa set as we knew we would be having our baby daughter by c section and we ordered the sofa for the comfort and knowing we should have had it 2 weeks after her c section which we were fine with. We called them for an update to be informed that actually the sofa won't be ready until May which is massively over the 5 weeks we were told we would have to wait. Now I have to watch my fiance struggle to get up and down from our low sofa. Promised phonecall back from our salesman but never get them. Typical sales!!!!!!! Absolutely fuming!!!!!!

We are absolutely over the moon with the customer service we received from Liam in the Dragonville store. He was fantastic. Me and my girlfriend Hadn't been able to get finance on a sofa anywhere but he sorted us out and was spot on! The thing that made it better was he even interacted with our 2 year old son and kept him happy! Now just waiting for the sofa to be delivered! Brilliant day all round for us! Would highly recommend!! Thank you very much Liam and Scs!

I ordered a sofa and paid over £1000. Their supplier was completely inflexible over the colour of the cushions which came with it which forced us to look into reupholstering. After the order had been placed I received a call informing me that the order had been cancelled and that I would have to return to the store to receive a refund. To prevent a customer from ordering what they want, cancel the order they did make and then force them to return to the store in order to receive a refund is appalling customer service and I won't be returning if I can help it.

If it was a jumper you would take it back and expect a refund or a exchange well this is not over yet Nigel
