This Spot is THE SPOT! Tuck away in a not so busy plaza in the city of Covina is The Spot Teriyaki. I was in the area to do some shopping and I remember a friend mentioning this place before so I decided to stop by and give it a try. As you walk in it's definitely one of those small mom and pops type restaurant. There is nothing fancy or over the top about this place but don't let the looks of it turn you away. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl and added avocado to it. I'm already happy with a regular teriyaki chicken bowl but adding that fresh and flavorful avocado to it just took it to another level. I've actually never had a bowl with avocado and I'm so happy they suggested I do. The chicken was cooked fresh and juicy (you can see them grilling it while you order). The avocado cost extra (where doesn't it?!?) but they definitely do a great job in picking out the fresh and ripped ones, worth the extra charge. They don't overload the bowl with teriyaki and of course they have some on the tables for you to add more to your liking. They have a wide selection of options to enjoy, even though I haven't had a chance to try anything else I will be a returning customer to pick up a bowl and maybe something I haven't tried.FYI: Tons of parking available and the staff is very cool, down to earth. Enjoy!

Nice people in a very small location. There are 7 tables with room for four people each. Nice and clean. I am not sure if I like the teriyaki sauce in old sriracha sauce bottles. Not bad. I liked the Teri Burger. The teriyaki sauce is okay. The fried needed salt but were good.

If you love golden bowl a little bit down the street than you'll love the spot. From what i understand a former golden bowl employee owns or is the main chef so the food is practically identical to golden bowls. Salads, burritos and burgers are their specialty but the true gem is their teriyaki chicken bowls. Absolutely delcious and fresh. Give them a shot if you're in the neighborhood.

Great food. The meat is very good quality, no grisly or fatty beef or chicken, and the teriyaki sauce is delicious. The best comparison is B Man's teriyaki, but The Spot is much better. I haven't tried a whole bunch of things on the menu but if you're looking for great teriyaki this is the place for you. Also, pretty decent portion sizes on their bowls.

They have rice and chicken bowls similar to waba grill, it's really really good! The best thing of all is when you ask for avocado they over do it in a beautiful way! That's the main reason I go! The avocado just looks so perfectly nice on top when I receive my plate! Also they stuff it, so you will be full for sure! They also sell burgers which I have yet to try! Great place I recommend it!

Feedback:

I've had teriyaki at many, MANY places. It's one of my favorite foods. This place makes some of the best I've ever had. The rice is cooked perfectly. The meat is delicious (both their beef and chicken) and cooked on a grill. The teriyaki sauce that they use and have on the tables is incredible. If that weren't enough, their burgers are phenomenal also. You can even combine both things and get a teriyaki burger. Don't forget to try one of their chillies that are fried and taste amazing. They hang out in a flip to container hanging out with the other condiments to your left as you walk in. Pair those delicious offerings with a Coke in a glass bottle made with real sugar and you've got quite the meal. Pro tip: don't be afraid to ask for extra meat. It cost a little more but they give you enough in a large bowl that you can make two meals out of it if you really want to.
