This Spot is THE SPOT! Tuck away in a not so busy plaza in the city of Covina is The Spot Teriyaki. I was in the area to do some shopping and I remember a friend mentioning this place before so I decided to stop by and give it a try. As you walk in it's definitely one of those small mom and pops type restaurant. There is nothing fancy or over the top about this place but don't let the looks of it turn you away. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl and added avocado to it. I'm already happy with a regular teriyaki chicken bowl but adding that fresh and flavorful avocado to it just took it to another level. I've actually never had a bowl with avocado and I'm so happy they suggested I do. The chicken was cooked fresh and juicy (you can see them grilling it while you order). The avocado cost extra (where doesn't it?!?) but they definitely do a great job in picking out the fresh and ripped ones, worth the extra charge. They don't overload the bowl with teriyaki and of course they have some on the tables for you to add more to your liking. They have a wide selection of options to enjoy, even though I haven't had a chance to try anything else I will be a returning customer to pick up a bowl and maybe something I haven't tried.FYI: Tons of parking available and the staff is very cool, down to earth.
