My partner completely suprised me with taking me on a first date at The Firehouse.I must say, I am very sorry for coming under dressed as I had no idea I would dining at your fine establishment. This was a complete and amazingly wonderful suprise. I am very aware of how well know this place is and I feel bad for walking in in casual attire; However, you all treated us extremely well. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the attention you guys gave us. It's an honor to dine at a place like this. The food was more extravagant than I have ever had. The assistance with our meals was impeccable. You guys even let us come in right before closing, which was amazing. I felt no judgement from anyone in the restaurant and this made me extremely happy. Thank you all again!I highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful romantic night.

I had the pleasure to eat here in their restaurant in June and then again at my daughter's wedding in Oct. Both times the food and ambiance was excellent. Regarding the wedding, I can't say enough nice things about Randy the coordinator and his staff. They handled everything like a well oiled machine. It was an absolutely beautiful affair and I would recommend the restaurant and venue to anyone.

We have eaten here quite a few times. Dinners, lunches and a New Years eve special night. Although a bit pricey (hey its high end dining) every time they did not disappoint. The food was excellent and in good quantity without over doing it. The drinks are well crafted too. The dress is more or less business casual, it is not the kind of place to wear shorts and flip-flops, I doubt they would ask you to leave, it is simply a "classy place" and you would feel out of place. Besides there are plenty of shorts an flip-flop eateries that are cheaper :)They have valet parking which is a plus when Old Sacramento gets busy and its hard to park. Take note, when entering Old Sacramento from "i" street there is a Parking garage on the left but also an large lot to the right, under the overpass and you can use the parking app. It's only a five minute walk to the Firehouse from either of these locations. Also, there is also another parking structure near the Emabassy Suites and Tower Bridge (big yellow one).

I am writing this review as a reminder to all to be wary. The past performance of the Firehouse gives evidence of current performance if nothing has changed in management or customer service. My wife and I went to The Firehouse for our anniversary which we had been doing for several years at this point, with reservations and a specific table preference agreed to by the restaurant. This is a place where we would go 2-3 times a year, for birthdays, anniversary and such, so this was a special occasion. When we got there we discovered they had given away or table reservation to another couple, and only had open seating at the larger more crowded and noisy areas of the dining room. With this gross mistake they tried to appease us by giving us a small dish of desert. To say the very least we were extremely disappointed. When I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager it was as if he could care less. We have not been back to The Firehouse since and have no plans on going back any time soon. This took place 5 years ago. If you want a great steakhouse with great service stay away from here and look to Folsom and the Sutter Street Steakhouse.

A great high end dining experience. The food was delicious and the service was felt as soon as we stepped in through the doors. Water glasses were ways full. I would recommend their Pork Belly starter and the Butternut Squash gnocci. I got the special entree, a main course of Prosciutto wrapped Halibut, but alas it was a tad too salty. It felt like I was chewing on the texture of the fish, without any of the flavor beside salt. By the end of the dinner I found myself desperately looking for sauces to dip the fish in. Dessert was a celebratory raspberry blueberry Creme Brulee, but there was a wide array of desserts that I really wanted to try. Pro tip: a dessert or the restaurants choice is complimentary for Birthdays and Anniversaries. If you need any last egging to go here, just know that the restaurant holds a lot of historic significance (Ronald & Nancy Regan dined here in 1967!) and is definitely worth a trip.

The day after Valentine's Day was my first time at the Firehouse. The decor and lighting were wonderful, with plenty of space between tables, adding to the intimacy it allows for conversation. The service was top notch, with continual water, and bread refills. Our waitress was amazing, and wonderful, making great suggestions, and checking on us regularly. The food price may seem a bit high, but every course was easily worth it's price. Perfect portions, and the food tasted impeccable. I will definitely be back.

I went there for a Best Friend's Wedding. It was quite the ambiance. Certainly demonstrated a measure of beauty and elegance that fit the wedding reception quite well. The staff was very friendly. The food was very tasty. The drinks were well-made that goes especially for the cocktails. If I live in California I would certainly have more events here and definitely eat there on a regular basis but alas I am from the East Coast. I look forward to going back there one day

Thanksgiving at the Firehouse was great. From the phone call to confirm our reservation to the hostess at the front desk to every one of the servers waiting on us, it was a wonderful experience. Beautiful surroundings, great service, and delicious food all made it an amazing day. Thank you, Firehouse staff, for making Thanksgiving 2019 such a memorable event
