Not bad. Not outstanding. I’ve done a lot of kayaking (both flat water and ocean/bay) at various places. I’ve done guided tours in Puerto Rico, Key West and the N.C. Outer Banks. Relatively speaking, the payoff isn’t 100% worth the cost of this tour. We were on a tour with eight other kayaks plus a ton of kayaks from other companies, so it was rather crowded at the cave entrance. We were able to spend only about 30 seconds in the cave. We basically paddled in a few feet, turned around and paddled out. We didn’t see a ton of wildlife - only a few garibaldi. You can see more La Jolla wildlife exploring the tide pools and cliffs on foot. On the plus side, the shop staff and guides Tony and Gerardo were friendly and knowledgeable. And, La Jolla‘s coastline is beautiful no matter what! We did get a great view of that and learned some interesting facts about the town. I would consider renting kayaks from them or doing their whale tour, though the next time I’m in the San Diego area.
