I’ve been seeing Alana for a few months now and I absolutely love her. I first starting coming in when I was about 6 months pregnant with my daughter. Alana is extremely personable, happy to help you in any way, and just an amazing esthetician. I have been seeing an esthetician monthly for years and she is one of my absolute favorites. I’ve dealt with adult acne for 7-8 years and I could see a difference after continuing with monthly visits. I’m giving Botanica 3 stars because the “new” receptionist doesn’t understand how a business works and though he’s friendly on the phone/in person he’d rather charge a $20 late fee for a continuing customer than keep a client who pays for a facial monthly and tips at least 40-50% each time. I strongly believe he also would have charged me full price for a 60 minute facial if Alana hadn’t said to only charge me for the 30 minutes I was there. When you hire a receptionist they become the face of your company and I don’t like the face botanical has shown the last three months. If I didn’t love Alana so much I would not continue coming here. In the future I hope to schedule when he is not working. I spend way to much on having “‘my time” here to deal with someone who makes the experience stressful.There products are amazing as well!!!! I love the morning moisturizer, evening moisturizer and sunscreen Alana suggested for me.Edit: After your response I’ve made the decision to not visit your salon again. Disappointing since I really do love Alana and I’ve run out of products since then. Jason may not be new but this so called “generosity” you offered is a joke and a lie. That was my first visit since my pregnancy and during my pregnancy I showed up an hour prior to most appointments and waited in the car. When Jason didn’t extended any generosity during that first late call I was shocked. I had tried called to schedule the next day because my infant child was screaming in the car and and it had poured rain on my trip so I was very delayed. My next appointment I had my mother with me and chose to bring my child (due to prior experience with you) who then screamed in the waiting room so as far as your “generosity” is concerned as a mother I can’t win. I never once had a problem before the first time I spoke with Jason so he is the reason I will not be visiting again. That or the fact that you’d rather take a $20 late fee then have a continuing client who puts much more than that into your company on a 3 week to monthly basis is pathetic. As a business owner myself, that’s a joke. I’ve also removed a star for your false statement in your reply.
