The way they run their interviews is humiliating to say the least. I have never felt so embarrassed in my life. They sat all the applicants in the same room together, basically pitting us against each other because they wanted each of us one by one to introduce ourselves and tell them why we are a good fit for the job. Why would you do that?! Why would any of us want to tell a bunch of complete strangers who we are and where we came from?! This was the most bizarre interview I've ever had in over 20+ years! They called it a group interview to weed out the candidates. It was the most unprofessional interview of my entire life. Regardless I didn't like the vibe of the establishment it seemed very pretentious for a wellness center. I worked at a hospital for 15 years and have had numerous panel interviews. Other applicants have no business being a part of your interview. The professionalism of the owner was also ridiculous. He's a doctor but his demeaner was more comedic and insulting than anything. They ended the interview with "ok so we are going to call your name if we want to pursue an interview one on one, don't be angry or take it personal if your name doesn't get called. So now they start calling out the names in front everyone and us that didn't get called were told go have a beer we are on "beeramar" making jokes when obviously we needed the job so cracking jokes is like pouring salt in the wound. Messing with people's livelihood and making jokes about it yeah that's a professional wellness center alright The place looks like a steak house when you first walk in with their industrial lights and stainless steel accents. No wonder they offer groupons, gotta get more clients to pay for all the fancy decor. If you had such an established practice you wouldn't need to offer the general public a coupon for services. I hope nobody else falls victim to their interview process, what a joke! Definitely shows how they treat people and run their business!

My health was not very good, I was overweight, diabetic, taking all kinds of medicines, 120 units of insulin daily, no matter what I did the numbers kept going up and up, I could not feel the bottom of my feet any more... I was in trouble. After hearing Dr. Shumard's presentation I went to see him and started my treatment, it has been now only four months and I am totally off my diabetic medications, the weight has gone down 20 pounds. I feel great, I can now exercise, dance, I am very active. I am getting my life back again. The doctors are excellent, the staff is so helpful. I am glad I finally found someone who could help me take care of myself the right way and enjoy my life again instead of waiting for my aftercare... Thank you Dr. Shumard, Dr. Antoine and Staff.

I attended a seminar regarding thyroid issues, as my Medical doctor wanted me to start on a pharmaceutical drug. After Dr Shumard's presentation, I was very impressed with the holistic approach & it made total sense. I also had an auto immune diagnosis & was advised I needed to take prednisone. After a couple of months of following a recommended regimen, my blood work showed amazing results. Proof positive the holistic approach worked for me. I highly recommend this business. Dr Grant REALLY knows his stuff. The entire staff is friendly, caring, knowledgable, professional & concerned about my care. I'm so thankful I found these professionals.

Dr. Shumard is awesome! If you want to get to the underlying cause of your disease, Dr. Shumard is the man to see. So many doctors just want to dump one drug on you after another. Why? Why can't they ever just fix my freakin' problem?! That's what is so great about this office. Their focus is on the root of the problem, not just the symptoms! If that's what you're looking for...you just found it!

I started coming here a few months ago and am very pleased with the improvement in my neck and back pain. As a nurse of 7 years, aches and pains are commonplace and accepted. It's wonderful to have an alternative rather than taking Motrin or Tylenol and eventually become affected by side effects.Everything is explained from diagnostics (x-rays), causes of pain, to treatment (which feel great!) & prevention. Questions are always welcome. Staff and Dr. Shane are friendly & welcoming :)

My first visit at the “Wellness Center” was through a offer with Groupon and it all seemed legitimate.Dr.Shane Ott-Chiropractor is very good but will be leaving shortly for another opportunity.The office manager Cathy is similar to a used car salespeople.I have NYS workers compensation as my primary insurance for all problems related to my lower back.The injury is from many years ago and required a Neurosurgeon to perform a extensive surgery.I have multiple health insurance coverages but I’m required by law to use Workers Compensation as my provider due to the work related origin of the injury.In the consultation with Cathy she didn’t see that as a issue and agreed to call the County Administrator of my plan.My County of employment is large and self insured.They are very accommodating to treatments I require and I’ve never had a issue.Cathy failed to mention their office doesn’t accept worker compensation in California as they explained only ten are certified by the state.Then why would Cathy infer that their office would accept NYS workers compensation?Then after approximately four visits(my last) they asked me to sign a form with a credit card number to charge monthly.They also said,”You’re not allowed to put these Chiropractic expenses through my Medicare or Blue Cross/Blue Shield coverages.”They we’re telling me how I can interact with my multiple Insurance companies.Really??—Groupon great for certain services and retail items but buyer beware if a health provider needs Groupon to attract business.—Their behavior was unethical,misleading and quite frankly shady.I would highly recommend avoiding this office.

I attended Jason Shumard's memory loss seminar last month for memory loss and recently went to consultation. I found the seminar and consultation to be a bit deceptive and high pressure as well. When we got to the seminar Dr Shumard told us that he will not answer any questions due to HIPPA laws. He then then told us afterwards that he is in a hurry and does not have time answer questions to us individually. We were then told that there is special $50 examination/consultation. We went to the consultation/examination and we were told that that we would have to get a volumeteric MRI for $400. We were also told that earlier that we would be told if the memory loss treatment would be covered by insurance that that day. He then told us we would have to get the MRI first. On top of all this he then says that we would have to make a decision to that same day or he would not treat my mom. My own belief is that Dr Shumard is taking advantage of the ambiguity in his treatments He should be avoided.

All of the staff here is very helpful and I look forward to my visits. Chiropractic adjustments take little time, but they make sure to give a full rundown of everything going on, including intermittent xrays to show your spine and where adjustments need to be made They recommend treatment plans, since your spine is held in place by your muscles, so it takes muscle re training to hold your skeleton in place. The massage I received was fantastic. Even though my back was crunchy, she still managed to take out a lot of the tension so I felt like jello afterwards (amazing).Highly recommend to give this place a shot and see what they can do for you.

I am gradually getting back into my fitness regimen. Fitness is a big part of my life. And Dr. Shumard works with your lifestyle. He's very honest and realistic when it comes to your program. I've been coming here since March 2017, I found them on fb. And utilized the promotion they had on fb. I've been having back issues for years and always wanted to go a chiropractor. Welp I found one. The staff is genuinely very friendly, welcoming, and this center is like one big family one you all become familiar with one another. Although it's only been a few months I have seen slow but steady progress. They also work with you and give away free massages monthly. They educate you regularly through weekly news letters and monitors in their lobbies. They're very on top of their stuff! Very recommended.
