If you are planning on renting from eagle cap i highly recommend finding someone else. They rent you over priced, overcrowded apartment complexes. during the winter it is impossible to go through their properties because of excess snow and from un-policed tenants. The 6th street apartments have not been renovated in over 15 years (someone i know lived there and the carpet was the same as it is now). They increase rent every year, with no changes in service. If you try and talk with them, they give you rude and unhelpful answers. They are the worst people i have ever had to deal with. If you have an issue with your rental through them your better off fixing the issues yourself. When you talk to maintenance directly, things get done, but they are hard to find since no maintenance is done do apartments. All in all, if you want to rent in La Grande Oregon, do NOT rent from Eagle Cap.

Pretty good considering they are one of few (or the only?) rental companies in La Grande. They were prompt with starting maintenance requests and would get back to you quickly if you needed something. Only complaint is that our owners were having friends come around the property when we were not there to do work and without our permission so I contacted Century 21 and the matter never really seemed to be resolved. Other than that, they were great and never made us pay for any of the reasonable maintenance to the house.
Feedback:
I personality have never had a problem with century 21. I have been renting from them for about a year now, and I have followed their rules and have communicated with them about problems with the house and they have worked with me about everything going on. I have enjoyed working with them on the house making sure everything was in order that way it makes it easier on everyone. When asked information about the house they give great details about what is expected and what their rules are. I would recommend them to others. They do their jobs and they expect their tenants to follow the rules. If there is a question they will answer it and if they cant they will find someone who can answer your questions. They have a great staff and if you work with them, they will work with you.
Feedback:
If I could rate them a -1000 I would. If you have any other options to rent from do it. Do not rent through century 21. I have a cat and I filled out my application and they didn't even bother to tell me that he was approved and then I get an email stating that I have unpaid charges on my account after I already paid my rent. Then I complained that I need a lot of repairs around my apartment such as cracks in the walls, water damage under the kitchen sink and bathroom floor, tiles in my bathtub are caving in and leaking, I have a spot on my floor that dips in when I step on it and I live on the 2nd floor and washer and dryers in the on campus facilities have been broken for over 6 months and they said to bring in a list so I did and the lady blatantly told me that "none of the changes would be made" and when I asked if the work notice was put in two days later, they told me" we can't seem to find your list". And then I get an email stating that they are increasing my rent. I repeat, if you have any other options to rent from someone else, take it. DO NOT RENT FROM CENTURY 21
Feedback:
We began renting from Century 21 due to a disagreement with our previous Landlord related to my emotional support animal. They worked fast to get us into a safe environment of a new home and were always helpful when issues arose. The staff in the property management are professional, helpful, and friendly. I would certainly recommend this company if you are looking to rent in La Grande.
Feedback:
We have been renting from Cent 21 for a few years now and the experience has been great. Good communication, attentive, professional and anytime we had an issue Rosa took care of it right away.Thank you Cent 21!:)
Feedback:
They leave people homeless after you pay them $80.00. So don't pay them to look for a place because they try one house and say landlord say no them they tell you at first that they approve your app. but then say nope we can't do anything for you because of a cable bill and past cell phone. Never been late on my rent and always paid my electric and water early. So again don't give them no money because they can't do there job so they give up and leave you on the street after taking your money.
Feedback:
Honestly the worst company I have ever dealt with. Rude and way to expensive.Currently paying $300 a month (as well as my other two roomates) with nothing included. Also, they rented the place too us with weeds everywhere and dead grass and out grown hedges and then threatened to terminate our lease if we didn't fix it. I find that very unprofessional.
Feedback:
Being a vet, I know how to GI clean a place. I cleaned my place from top to bottom according to military dorm standards and was charged 6 hours of cleaning by a separate person for doing the work that I had done. They can lie all they want, but there is no way someone else spent even an hour cleaning after the time I spent cleaning the place. It is obvious they are ripping people off with the security deposit as is sits in a bank account, and during the time you are not even given any interest on the money they are holding. Is that legal?I strongly advise you to move out and not do any cleaning. Odds are you will be charged for it anyway.
Feedback:
I'm getting back my security deposit after three months' waiting. They sent the deposit to the address I had just moved out of for some reason, so it bounced back and has been sitting at their office since. They didn't bother calling me to tell me this. Also, I'm getting back about 25% of what I paid for the deposit, which is ridiculous. Every landlord I've had has been very happy to rent to me; I've even been offered discounts by landlords who wanted my business back. Why? Because my girlfriend and I take great care of our rentals and deep-clean them when leaving. We've always gotten our entire security deposit back minus mandatory carpet-cleaning fees. Not from C21, though; they will bill you for the upkeep they did not do while you lived there and call it "repair." I know this because my deposit went to "fixing" the shower. Let me explain that:At the last apartment, the caulking around our shower quickly fell off after a few months' use. Then black mold began growing all over it/behind it and all over the bathroom in general, despite the fact we kept it well-ventilated and did not overuse it. We worked hard to keep the mold under control with vinegar, bleach and other methods, but it was clearly deep into the walls. When we asked about it, they said they would be using money from our security deposit to re-caulk the shower and that they "did this every time someone moved out." Basically, the bathroom's got black mold in it because the shower unit's not properly sealed and needs replaced, but instead of investing in their property, they just rob their renters to replace the caulking and bleach everything so it looks okay long enough to sucker the next person in. They seal the mold in and clean the surfaces, the caulking comes off again quickly, and the cycle repeats; instead of repairing what they need to repair, they just take it out of your security deposit and make things look presentable without actually fixing anything. Our porch's paint was clearly a decade+old and mostly peeled completely off. Oh, and in the walkway into the apartment, there was a huge hole with the end of a dry-rotted beam poking through it. Ditto for the roof of our porch; it had been hastily repaired with an old split chunk of 4x6 badly toenailed into the actual support beam. Their properties are in bad disrepair, and it's clear they're just trying to milk as much money from them as possible without having to expend any money of their own. Whether this is a landlord decision or the decision of C21, it's a bad deal for renters, who subsidize C21's repairs with their security deposits so the properties can be made temporarily presentable long enough to get another sucker to rent. On several occasions, C21 sent us a notice to enter a week in advance; we waited around all day and they did not come. They couldn't be bothered to even give us a phone call and let us know we didn't need to spend the day waiting on them. Usually, when a person sets an appointment, it's common courtesy to call if something changes, but C21 was content to just leave us hanging. As long as your checks keep coming, they really can't be bothered to do a thing. Worse, when we complained about things like, you know, black mold, we were often greeted with scorn or sharp, rude explanations. "Oh it's always been like that" is not a justification, folks--you're damned lucky somebody doesn't sue the pants off of you. The only way they come away from this looking okay is if they're massively overworked and underpaid. I sympathize with anyone in a customer service job, having worked a ton myself, but my sympathy has limits. I paid a small fortune to these people for the privilege to live in a run-down apartment, have my calls ignored, be stood up for inspection days and have my security deposit robbed AND sent to the wrong address (You'd think they'd realize sending it to the address I just moved out of would probably not work, right?)I feel a bit bad posting something so negative about a local business, but seriously--stay away, college kids.
