I wish my work offered a different plan. Dealing with this system when injured is dealing with barriers, frustration, lack of communication from one system to the other, and being transferred to multiple numbers only to be transferred back to the original number. You get to the point of an entire melt down. I filed a complaint, it was denied by an internal KP board certianly not an objective opinion. I filed an appeal and never heard anything more. My supposed "advocate" did not answer my calls, did not call me back, nor would email. Everytime I am injured and need pain management I'm treated as if I'm an addict. Having an injury and dealing with Kaiser is like going through hell and back again. Find a different health care.

Just want to give many many thanks to Dr. Dessie and her RN, Sarah! I arrived at Kaiser at this morning, harried from the Denver traffic and scattered! While exiting my car I dropped my phone on my floor mat but did not realize. When I got to the express check in I realized my phone was missing and hurried back to the basement bathroom to find it. Unfortunately my phone was not there. I completed my check-in with a receptionist, checked the bathroom one more time then rushed up to the 10th floor, 10 minutes late and very anxious. I informed the kind nurse, Sarah what had happened and to my surprise she went on a hunt for my phone. While I was being seen by the doctor, Sarah went to the lobby, bathroom and even checked a trashcan in search of my phone. Sarah finally found my phone and brought it back to me. This surely wasnt Sarah's job but she did so without complaint. Dr. Dessie is amazing! I never felt rushed by her. She listened, was compassionate and took her time to explain treatment options. It was a super crazy morning but two sweet women made me feel 100 times better. Thank you both for all you do!

I have been receiving wound-vac dressing changes in the General Surgery department @ the Franklin KPMO thrice-a-week since December 20th. Each aspect of all appointments to date have fulfilled every conceivable customer service and clinical parameter, and I actually look forward to seeing RNs Jenny Billingsley and Kathy Raasch because they both combine friendly expertise with gentle meticulousness. My wife and I have strived to schedule appointments in advance, but we have needed to cancel twice in the past two weeks due to slick driving conditions from snow. It appears that I was the culprit who forgot to verify scheduled appointments following our Friday, February 7 cancellation. I apparently assumed that the next week had been booked for our M-W-F schedule. When we arrived on-time the following Monday, February 10th, my forgetfulness became apparent as our usual start time came and went. I promptly called the local advice/appointment line, hoping to secure a same-day appointment to maintain my prescribed treatment pattern. The call was transferred directly to the actual department where a pleasant fellow named Paul informed us that Kathy would come speak with us in the waiting room. With a smile on her face, Kathy emerged from the back office and encouraged us to give her a few minutes to ready a procedure room, where she would take care of my wound-vac needs without delay. Although we chatted together in our usual light-hearted fashion, my wife, Denise, and I were well aware that Kathy put aside other assignments and adjusted her workday schedule to accommodate forgetful me (thankfully, it was the first such episode, and I promise it will be the last - I get my skin graft on March 3, thanks to the wonderful work done here!). The atmosphere in the room felt like our usual interaction, with no rush and no shortcuts. Moreover, Kathy spent several extra minutes with us to verify that the next week of appointments were recorded, and she gave us a printed schedule of them.As healthcare professionals ourselves, my wife and I are keenly aware of the stressors and challenges faced in the delivery of care, even when the schedule runs smoothly with plenty of staff. I was so moved by Kathy's willingness to interrupt her schedule to accommodate me, a person with no emergency, no true inconvenience and no demands. This kindness was genuinely delivered from her heart...the heart of a devoted nurse, and of a kind and loving human being. I am so grateful for Kathy Raasch, RN!

Went in for a 7am appointment. Send to Skyline building by original appointment. No staff in Skyline building. Check iternary I got at Skyline building kiosk. It said Franklin building went to Franklin building and waited. No one ever came. Went to Admissions floor. They confirmed on their computer I was correct in all my actions. Admissions called the floor twice no one answered. Admissions sent two messages over the Overhead, again no answers. Admissions refunded my co pay. Twenty minutes latter I get a call from the Dr's office saying she the doctor was in and if I came back she'd fit me in today. Months ago when I scheduled I said I wanted a male doctor.

I would like to share my very negative experience today at the OBGN department of Kaiser at The Franklin office.I’m 9 weeks pregnant and I made an appointment about 5 weeks ago as soon as I found out I was pregnant. Last night I flew back from New York City after being on a business trip so I could be here today in Denver for my first prenatal appointment. My husband took off from work as well so this morning we were both so excited of going in for our first appointment. The first semester is a little stressful and we have so many questions for a doctor. The night before I checked in online so this morning could be smooth. We were both scared and so excited at the same time. We were about to find out after waiting for 5 weeks if our baby was healthy and maybe we could hear an heartbeat. We arrived on time and promptly checked at the reception. The lady told us that our appointment was canceled and sent us to the 10th floor. We got to the 10th floor and there we found out that the nurse supposed to see us was sick. I obviously understand that people get sick but what about patients? What about our time? What about making sure that they give good option for rebooking? They didn’t have anyone to fill in for the nurse and they didn’t have any appointment for us until week 12 of my pregnancy! Isn’t it so unprofessional? All the options they gave us were bad options. We needed to go to a different office and have our ultra sound and prenatal visit done separately. This is not the experience I was looking for. I pay my health insurance $460 each month and always have paid all my bills. The least they could do is offering good rebooking options to accommodate their mistake. I left so upset and so stressed! I’m so disappointed. This morning should have been fun and a beautiful experience for my husband and I. They messed up our first time experience and wasted our time. I don’t usually complain but this time I felt like i was just dealing with a business and not a compassionate team of heath professionals. I’m a patient and kaiser should care more about the well being of their patients. We are not marchandise or a just a number. We are people and we have feeling. First semester of pregnancy is very fragile and today they put me under stressed. I really find hard to believe a hospital the size of kaiser has no alternative arrangements when their staff is sick?

Very dissappointed in the scheduling of appointments with this clinic. Twice in two weeks they have either rescheduled and not received a confirmation of reaching the patient. Today went in for appt that was moved to AM and they tell me appt they have is in the afternoon. What a joke. They get paid regardless of the mess up on their part while I get stuck losing out on a days pay.

I met with Dr. David C Gerhardt this morning to review an injury to my knee. While I was initially apprehensive about my situation Dr Gerhardt did a great job of explaining both technically and in layman’s terms what the issues are with my knee which helped to alleviate my concern. Dr Gerhardt outlined the different options to repair my knee, the pro’s and con’s for these options and the risks associated with each. By the end our visit we came up with a plan which I feel very comfortable moving forward with. I can’t wait to get my kneed fixed and back to my active lifestyle.

Absolutly the worst experience I have ever had with any surgery. Honestly, after my experience with Mr. Margolis, I will be changing my insurance. I can not recommend coming here for any type of surgery. The staff is horrible. They completely dropped the ball and had the nerve to blame me. I think I will be lodging a formal complaint against the staff at this place. Bottom line is that their team is too worried about their success record as opposed to taking care of their patients.

At the end of March 2019 I had a second surgery with Dr. Joseph Kolb( plastic and reconstructive surgery), surgery that was meant to fix the first bad one. To my surprise the second one was even worst then the first one ( yes, unfortunately it is possible even if the department's name/title says otherwise)...after all this incompetence I also must mention the yelling (when I pointed out something that was wrong with the first surgery and I wanted to be corrected) and also it was my body's fault for the way the surgery looked...this to say the least. If I could, I would give Dr. Kolb ZERO stars! Now I have to go through a 3rd surgery to fix everything that went wrong...and of cource that I have to pay for it...AGAIN!!...Third time's the charm!...right?

Had tests scheduled at Franklin then Skyline then Franklin, the woman was kind enough to do both tests at the same time saving me time. Then I went to Franklin once again to see if they could check me for left stitches left after surgery in Portland. They were great!!!! But 5 stars to a nurse by the name of Colleen. All the staff were great.
