McLaren group is just aweful!!I would NOT recommend this group. The service is with this group is sub-par and that is on a good day!!Just try and get medications or test!McLaren makes you jump through all kinds of hoops!!

I cam to write a personal review, then got caught up reading the experiences of others, experiences we share! I've been on hold for nearly an hour, only to have an office worker get snarky when I mentioned it. Almost every month for what, 2 years I guess, getting Rx refills was like pulling teeth. Then there are the shared experiences with the doctors. Sadly my old Doc retired and I was forced to hope for a decent new doc. Sadly this was not the case. I really tried to like and enjoy doc B, but it's hard to deal with someone who is totally and completely condesending. Someone who was unfailingly right, period, she was right and I didn't know what I was talking about. I don't know my own body, I pretty much didn't know anything. Who wants to argue with your doctor?! My doctor didn't pay me, I'm not her employee so why does she act like I am. Well, I had enough. I found a new Doctor, a real doctor, someone who treats his patients with respect. She must have figured it out when I blocked her phone number, then she sent me a 'letter' firing me. lol Hope you feel better. Also, no I'm not going to contact anyone about this treatment. If you look at the complaints on here, they go back for YEARS, it's clear nothing gets done.

I see two physicians, Dr Hammond and Dr Carella, at this location and I like and appreciate both of them. They each spend a lot of time answering questions and so on. However, the office is lacking. I don't call there because in my experience they don't answer the phone but just let it 'ring'. They'll call me, leave a message, and when I call back, no answer. Also, it seems that all the doctor offices have adopted 'patient portal' systems that are terrible and this one is especially terrible. Last week, it sent me 5 emails from an address I didn't recognize, looking like it had to be spam and saying "there's a message for you" and linking to the portal. When I took a chance with the link, had to search for the username/password for the unidentified sign-in, found the obscure message page, I found 5 almost identical messages saying the same generic thing. The portal system is terrible, but that's not an excuse with how they use it. Probably the worst thing about their portal is that it lacks a feedback feature. If it did, I would have posted this there instead.

Called my doctor's office to see if I could get in & I'm like my husband tested positive for flu on Friday & I'm getting symptoms. The girl didn't answer my direct question instead she read a script of how to sanitize & wash hands and then told me to use teleheath. I asked will telehealth test me for flu. All she said is they'll be able to tell me what to do. Obviously telehealth visit isn't an option to physically do an influenza test so there will go a $30 copay. Likely if they listen like the girl at the doctor's office didn't, they will probably tell me to go somewhere to be tested with yet another $30 copay plus. PCMH, huh, didn't know that meant it was lead by a care team to coordinate your care across all settings to a teleheath doctor. Okay thanks for nothing ... Don't reply giving me an assignment to contact you like I see in the reviews. Great disappointment and this patient experience was poor.

Dr. Hammond’s office staff is great! Dr. Hammond listens to me and I truly feel like she cares. From the front desk to the lady taking my vitals and the lady that sucks the blood out of my arm for tests, everyone is so kind. I really love it there. I can see all of the negative comments on this feed but I truly haven’t experienced anything close to negative at any point. I think everyone is always a little too focused on themselves and the instant service and gratification they want that they loose sight of the fact that hundreds of people walk through those doors everyday. With the care and level of in depth service they provide, you will have some waiting but it’s worth it. That’s just life.

I came in for a referral due to my double sprained ankle. McLaren forgot to refer me. When they finally did refer me, I made an appointment and showed up. The place that McLaren referred me to told me they don’t accept my insurance. So then the place that doesn’t accept my insurance showed me a different podiatrist that did accept my insurance. So I went to the new podiatrist that accepts my insurance and now they need the original referral from McLaren. This is ridiculous.

If you need to call their office, be prepared. You will be on hold for a long time. There will be a recorded voice that interrupts the hold music every fifteen seconds to tell you some "interesting" and lengthy health fact. If you think you're going to be on hold while at work and continue being productive until a human being answers, think again! You will have your concentration broken every fifteen seconds until you hang up in disgust and desperately look for any other way to contact their office. I don't know who thought it was a good idea, but seriously, please consider toning it down to once a minute.

The service has declined greatly since we first started going there. I have been a patient for two years, and decided to bring my newborn to the family physician. During my newborn son's first visit with Dr. Thomas, she made an inappropriate joke that "his mommy and daddy were doing crack and smoking heroin," and that she should call CPS. The comment was unexpected and very offensive to me and my wife. Then, we were given less than a month's notice that Dr. Thomas was leaving for Flint, and that we needed to find a new family doctor. We tried setting an appointment with Dr. Mir for today. Unfortunately we could not make it to the appointment on time due to snow conditions and traffic accidents on the road, so we tried to call and reschedule. They refused to allow us to reschedule because we were missing my son's first appointment, even though we would have had to risk our lives in the weather in order to make it there. They showed absolutely no understanding or sympathy for our troubles and did not care about the regard of my newborn either. They basically said we would have to find another new doctor since Dr. Mir refused to see us now. Suffice to say that we will be going elsewhere now for our family doctor and would not recommend this place for anyone seeking a family physician.

I have a terrific doctor, but EVERY TIME I come in for my annual physical and 6th month checkup, my physician reviews my medication list, promises to have renewals called in to my pharmacy and then it NEVER happens! I have to call MMP and I'm supposed to tell them what medications I'm on, how much is left of each one, and what pharmacy I use. If I was prescribed a new medication, I probably wouldn't get it because I wouldn't have it at home. I think I may need to find a different doctor with customer friendly and competent support staff. -NEXT DAY- I called MMP, again, requesting renewal for my medications and this time I gave the receptionist all the details on each medication I'm taking including the amount left in each container. I also explained that all my prescriptions have expired and I am having extreme difficulty getting someone to call my pharmacy to renew my prescriptions. I was assured that they would be called in to my pharmacy. So, I stopped in to my pharmacy after work and - guess what? - no medications were called in. So, I'm taking my business to a Sparrow clinic where I KNOW I will be treated professionally, respectfully, and courteously. - TWO YEARS LATER - I did what I said and got another doctor at the Sparrow Clinic in Williamston and both my wife and I have been DELIGHTED with the clinic's professionalism and excellent customer service. I have no wait times, my physician spends time with me to ensure she understands my concerns and does a thorough assessment every time I see her. My prescriptions are called in to the pharmacy before I leave the office. It's like day and night. I'll never return to Mid-Michigan Physicians.
Feedback:
First of all my brother in law is deaf. In the two weeks that they had reschedule us they didn’t even have the courtesy to call us and inform us that they don’t have a sign language interpreter. Went in for the third time and they still didn’t have one because the sign language interpreter cancel and they didn’t even bother to call. What’s even more funny was that they claim to have called but I have no records of any miss calls. And even if they did call why didn’t they leave a voicemail?! What’s worse was they told us to ask our social worker to find a sign language interpreter that way whenever we need one it’s provided because they don’t have a stable interpreter. It is NOT my job to look for one. But I will put that into consideration. But hey! We went through our appointment anyways without one. Any miscommunication will be their fault . SUPER unprofessional!
