Terrible! They doubled the price and the pesticide test was the most half ass nonsense. They didn't even test for two of the most common and harmful pesticides regularly found in concentrates. Be better! Test for the things you know are being sprayed like Myclobutanil and Abamectin.

This company gives you very inaccurate lab tests.. my flower tested between 15-19% thc when pharmlabs and sc labs give e 23%... this sucks i just lost 200 dollars on testing with this company

Being a small business owner, COMMUNICATION is key. I called Steep Hill Lab in Berkley California today to check on my results for my soothing salve I dropped off last Friday, for a potency test. When I called they informed me that my results will not be available until Tuesday because they were retesting my salve. Steep Hill should've reached out to me yesterday and explained to me what was going on instead of me having to call for the information. I am now delayed an extra 5 days on filling an order to a distributor. After this experience I will DEFINITELY be doing more research into who is doing my testing and asking more about how & when they will be communicating delays and procedures involving product testing and/or retesting and turn around times. Hope this helps anyone avoid future frustrations with this company.

Steep Hill delivers the perfect combination of experience, service, and scientific accessibility: their experts continue to impress us with a wide knowledge of chemistry, medical science, and genetics research; their Berkeley lab couldn't be more conveniently located (hop off Ashby exit on 880, be there in 4 minutes); and, while their prices don't match fit in the bottom part of the spectrum, their value as a "scientific partner" far exceeds anything we've received from other labs who simply provide numbers.

Horrible first time experience. Ordered genkits on a monday, got them friday. Shipped from CA to NV. put them in the mail on Friday. It is now 7 days since the samples should have been recieved and i have some results completed. I was sent a result on a sample that I did not even send in. There are possible accuracy issues with steep hill lab. Their phone system is garbage. You can nevwr contact anyone and when you finally do, they people who can actually help me are always unavailable. Jerry is a manager who is extemely un-organized and cannot return a phone call.Jerry told me that I cannot speak to anyone above him at Steep Hill labs. This is not a eay to run a business. The CEO needs to know of these inefficiencies. The user has to type in a 0 instead of a #. Another stupid glitch that a professional lab should not have.They use USPS with no tracking for the return kits to steephill. This is pathetic due to not being able to track something as important as this that is sent to steephill.This has been the worst experience I have had with a company in a long time. The work ethic and professionalism of this lab is greatly lacking.I would not use steep hill lab unless you like dealing with inefficiency and poor business practices.I encourage steephill staff to respond to this and let's see what lies they say.

So I want to start out by saying the people at steep hill are extremely nice. They are always helpful and courteous. However, when we first started testing with them we could reliably get results back in 3 days. Now we are being told instead of the usual 5 business days, its actually going to be more like 7 business days for a single test. So when you take those seven business days, plus the 4 weekend days we have to wait, ware are looking at an 11 day turn around if we are lucky... One of our last tests from them took way over two weeks... We are actively seeking out other testing companies. Although Steep Hill are nice people, their testing is costing us unknown amounts of dollars in lost revenue while we are held up waiting on tests... One of the bigger dispensaries in the area recommended a lab in Oakland called CW and we are going to be trying them out. Steep hill also said they would expedite the tests if you pay 50% over the cost of the test. However, they would not give me that option because they said when they are as backed up as they are now they don't even expedite... I just feel like there has to be a lab out there than can get these tests done in a timely manner. Steep hill is really hurting our business and I hope you don't get stuck waiting for two weeks on tests like us and losing potential customers the entire time...
